Sophomore defensive tackle Jahkeem Stewart is apparently on crutches with a foot injury and expected to be out 3-4 weeks. Remember, Stewart underwent surgery last November for a stress fracture in his foot that bothered him throughout last season. USC Morning Buzz: Shake Up On Defensive Line

It’s looking like Alex VanSumeren, the transfer from Michigan State, could start at defensive tackle for USC against San Jose State. The interesting part of that is it means Jide Abasiri and Jahkeem Stewart (the five-star sophomore) are fighting to start at the other tackle spot.
