With Coliseum renovations underway, USC announced it will not hold its traditional spring scrimmage at the stadium. Instead it will hold a final practice at April 14 at noon at Cromwell Field, which is open to the public.
I’m not sure this is really that big a deal because the past two spring games were not really spring games but glorified practices. And this year will probably be no different.
Other programs hold huge spring games. They fill the stadium in many cases. USC seems to think this is a waste of time. They could book the home depot center and fill it if they actually held a game. It’s been a few years since I saw anything more than a spring practice boring uneventful thing held for the public so I am not surprised . I wonder what the next season brings during the construction
