USC QB Sam Darnold met the media today and declined to compare himself to any of the other quarterbacks in the draft.
“That’s not my position to be talking about anyone else or to say I’m the best quarterback in the draft. That’s for other people to decide.
“I’m really just here to put my best foot forward, give it my all and show teams why I should be with their organization. If they don’t want me, they don’t want me. I’m just going to continue to be myself.”
Darnold also talked about his turnover issues.
“The No. 1 priority of a quarterback is to protect the football. I’m aware of that and aware of how much I turned the ball over and that it’s not OK. I’ve been addressing it this offseason and working on keeping two hands (on the ball) in the pocket at all times. The only time I let go of the ball is to throw and also keeping it tight when I tuck it and run.”
