USC QB Sam Darnold will throw Wednesday at Cromwell Field for his Pro Day and there is a 60 percent chance of rain. This will certainly show teams what he looks like in possible inclement weather. Cromwell Field has new artificial turf so his receivers should be OK.
It might also be less-than-ideal conditions for the 40-yard dash if Ronald Jones runs after pulling his hamstring at the NFL Combine.

Not too worried about his throwing. It’s the catching that worries me.

If the scouts are only here to look at Darnold, then catching will not be a problem. They only want to see if he can hit the receiver right in their hands without having to extend too much.
