USC had a record-breaking 64,256 applicants for its freshman class next year and accepted only 13 percent (8,258).
There were 85 sets of twins admitted in the class.
The 13-percent acceptance rate was the lowest ever in USC history and was 3 points lower than last year. The average high school unweighted GPA was 3.86 on a 4.0-point scale and 34 percent of admits had a 4.0 GPA. And 39 percent are from California.
Please report how many USC applicants were accepted on a deferred basis? To my understanding, that’s just one of several ways USC is gaming the USNWR figures. The low acceptance rate is based solely on fall admittance.
