USC forward Bennie Boatwright will return for his senior season. Remember, a year ago Boatwright announced he would declare for the draft but would not hire an agent.

The fact Boatwright is not even contemplating going pro today shows how far his draft stock slipped.

This is good news, obviously, for Andy Enfield. But remember Boatwright was named in the Yahoo story over alleged payments. Will his name surface again? And will Enfield have to deal with more issues via the FBI investigation?

So many things hang over USC basketball these days.

UPDATED: I’m told by one source that Boatwright’s knee injury is serious enough that he requires surgery and might not be cleared until the fall. That explains a lot.
