NFL Draft Makes Cotton Bowl Even Worse

It’s worth remembering Ohio State dominated USC in the Cotton Bowl without cornerback Denzel Ward, who was the No. 4 pick in the first round of Thursday’s NFL Draft.

Imagine what USC’s offense would have faced with Ward?

And apparently it did not bother the Browns that Ward skipped the Cotton Bowl to protect his draft status. It turns me off, to be honest.

So Ward pulled a Chimezie Metu but was actually a top-five pick, not a projected second-round NBA pick.

    1. Scott is right again, Lamont. The draft DID make the Cotton Bowl even worse. I don’t know how many people noticed but —-after the first round of the NFL draft was completed—-the 2017 Cotton Bowl score was officially changed from Ohio State 24, USC 7 to Ohio State 49, USC 0.
