It wasn’t that long ago that if you went to USC and wanted to eat dinner, you had a couple choices: Julie’s and Margarita Jones.
That were across the street from each other but Margarita Jones didn’t have the tradition like Julie’s, although it could get pretty crowded some nights.

They moved into Pasadena, but I don’t know fi they are still in business.

That place was still around when I got to USC in the 1990s, but I never went. Spent plenty of time at La Barca on Vermont, though.

Back in the 60’s and 70’s there was McKeever’s Trojan Barrel.
