Sunday World Cup Talk

France defeats Croatia, 4-2, to win the World Cup in the highest-scoring final game since 1966.

Did a dive create France’s first goal? Should a hand ball have been called for France’s second goal? Did Paul Pogba silence his critics?

How many of you had France winning it all?

All in all, this was a highly entertaining World Cup and Croatia provided plenty of entertainment, including today. Luka Modric won the Golden Ball, which is given to the best player at the World Cup, Kylian Mbappe win the FIFA Young Player award and Harry Kane won the Golden Boot for most goals (six).

  1. If the United States had just qualified by beating mighty Trinidad, I’m pretty sure it would be us celebrating today.

  2. Exactly, Pudly. Once again you put life into its proper perspective, my philosophical friend.

I heard the even more famous toilet cup is starting up next week. Who will win that one?
