USC provost Michael Quick, who is acting president since the departure of Max Nikias, said the university has created a sexual harassment task force comprised of faculty, staff and students.

Quick said the task forced was formed as a response to a National Academics’ report on sexual harrassment in certain academic fields.

Quick remains a controversial figure because some view him as too close to Nikias and believe USC needs someone less connected to the past to run things, even on a short-term basis.
