Is he a better coach than Kenechi Udeze? Definitely.
But why does USC go after someone who worked at Utah State, Oregon State and Boise State instead of going after a top defensive line coach in the SEC or NFL?

And former Texas Tech running backs coach Mike Jinks, fired two months ago as head coach at Bowling Green, is expected to become the running backs coach. So he is a Kliff Kingsbury hire.

TTU has more rushing attempts and tds than stanfurd last year, and when Kingsbury and Jinks were together their last season they had a 1495 yd rusher who rushed for a higher per carry a game than both Texas and Ok.

This seems to be a solid hire. Can you not bitch about something for once? With anything re: Helton, you’re preaching to the choir. No one wants him here, but he will be here at least another year. Let’s move on from that until the next season is over, or until he starts 1-5 and then we can resume the “firing Clay” talk. Otherwise, the last 2 assistant coaches he’s hired have been a homerun (Kingsbury) and solid with this Chad K coach.
