Graham Harrell Keeps It Simple

New USC offensive coordinator Graham Harrell is starting to remind me of Vince Lombardi when he talks about the offense.

Lombardi could spend an entire day speaking about his sweep play at a coaching clinic and the Packers dared opponents to stop a play that everyone knew was coming.

Here’s what Harrell said tonight:

“We have like four run plays.

“This is all you have to do, get great at it.”

“We’re going to keep it simple and master what we do.”
You could argue this is similar to former USC coach John McKay, who ran about six plays. Nothing wrong with keeping it simple, especially if JT Daniels is the QB.

  1. This kid looks more and more like the real thing. ‘If’ the record is more than flipped (5 – 7 to 9-3, 10 – 2) we have found our new head coach and can give Clay Helton a hearty ‘thank you’ and be rid of him. Swann can bask in his own glorious genius and await his own well deserved demise.

    Harrell is what we need and Kingsbury is now hitting the reality of having a bad: owner, general manager, scout team and assistants – worst of all no control over draft picks.

If everybody just gets on board with the Harrell Plan (eliminate what’s unnecessary on offense and work the hell outta what’s left), USC is gonna kick ass and make all the doubters just miserable. Specifically, I hope the present USC sports hierarchy stays outta Graham’s way —it made me sick to see Tessalone hovering over Graham the whole time he was being interviewed. Let him alone. He knows what HE’S doing —- it’s you dumb hacks that don’t.

      1. True Pud but you did hear what AZ Cardinal general manager Steve Keim said this past week when asked f Rosen was the Cardinals qb “…he (Rosen) is our qb…for now!”

  2. Flow, I sure hope JT has security if you’re ever allowed back at USC. Same for Swann. Things are gettin’ weird lately, dude. Is it the lack of actually being employed?

      1. Harrell’s last game, the New Mexico Bowl: Utah St. 52 – Harrell’s “Mean Green” offense 13. It was a close game until the 10-minute mark in the first Qtr.

        Every coach in the Pac 12 + the non-conf. coaches with a 2019 scheduled bozo game will know that The New Mexico Bowl game by heart.

Even for one of your limited intelligence, the size and speed of the athlete matters. Butthead that you are, you just play this simple game thinking like a fourth grader. Wow. Great work.

  5. Wolf’s is very creepy with his hatred/obsession of JT Daniels. If I’m JT and I see Wolf coming, I run for the hills.

    That being said, yes, I think we’d all prefer Jack Sears. Looked better in a loss than JT did all year.

    We all know Rosen sucks. We all know his ego gets the best of him. We all know that you look at him he is injured. As far as third round goes, I would not trade for him for a sixth round pick. He will suck in the pros just he did at ugly aka Thug U. His impeccable record against USC is 0-3. He sucked then and he sucks now.
