Daniel Utomi, a 6-6 forward from Akron, has transferred to USC. He will be eligible immediately. He is ranked No. 23 in ESPN’s graduate transfer rankings, which I didn’t know existed until today.
Utomi averaged 14.2 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 37.3 percent from 3-point range last season. He scored 11 points in a 84-53 loss to USC in Honolulu on Dec. 22, 2017.
USC’s roster is going to be a real mish mash next season with graduate transfers (Utomi, Quinton Adlesh), one-and-done freshmen (Isaiah Mobley, Onyeka Okongwu) and returning players (Nick Rakocevic, Jonah Mathews, Derryck Thornton).
The challenge is everyone will want to get their share.
It’s not a unique situation in today’s college basketball world but requires a strong coach and Andy Enfield has yet to demonstrate at USC that he can get the most out of anyone.
In terms of wondering why Scottie, the journalism/English major, is mistaking “their” for “there”, I’ll go with the explanation that he is mailing this in from the pub.
And since when is a hoops team with guys of different ages a problem?

Maybe Scott Wolf’s parents photo shopped him on a rowing machine or a printing press and that’s how he got into USC’s English program.

A college basketball roster with a lot turnover….that’s truly bizarre.

Enfield looks like he is doing a good job at replenishing roster after the school faced a scandal.

Yes hiring recruit fathers is a good way to replenish the roster.

This is Enfield’s year to ‘break out’ or legitimately face some tough looks but hey sure beats the ‘genie’ bottle they keep rubbing over there in westwood while they ‘weeping as they watch 40+ year old kinetoscope recordings of the peckerwood before he bailed.
