USC Adds A Commitment And So Does Ohio State

Kobe Pepe, a three-star defensive tackle from St. John Bosco, committed to USC this afternoon. He had 18 offers and is ranked the No. 51 prospect in California.

Clark Phillips, the No. 4 cornerback in the nation from La Habra, chose Ohio State today. Phillips did not have USC in his final five choices.

  1. Pepe’s other offers included Oregon, Penn State, and Nebraska.

He looks like a big fella, he is listed at 6’1″ and 294, or listed at 6’3″ and 270, depending on the recruiting website. Somehow, he has a 28″ vertical jump, which is impressive if he is indeed 294.

  2. Bravo 👏👏👏…. Another 3 star player to add to Clay Helton’s collection. I think he’s doing a great job of maintaining a mediocre program, with his usual low expectations of just winning a state championship.

      1. Better start against Tedford before you get to the other 3.

  3. It doesn’t matter who’s a verbal. The truth shall be much clear when Helton has a hard time going up against coaches who are just tougher mentally for the college game than he is.

    It’s pretty simple.
“If you build it they will come”
    Build what?
    Build……A…….Championship Program!
Helton has managed to make this a lot tougher and I think Urban Meyer is already thinking of his wishlist for recruits as the next head coach.

CAN CLAY HELTON HANDLE THE LIKES OF……….
    Jeff Tedford
    David Shaw
    Kyle Whittingham
    Chris Petersen
    Brian Kelly
    Chip Kelly
    Herm Edwards

    ??????????????
    Sorry to say.
But I wouldn’t put any money down in Vegas on USC.
