Should it worry anyone that Washington and Oregon have 39 commitments from 4-and-5 star recruits from the Class of 2019 and 2020 while USC and UCLA have 11 according to West Coast College Football.
Unless you are the type who buries your head in the sand, you should be worried.
Well as SC fans of the past few years, we can attest to the fact that having the most 4 or 5 star players doesn’t necessarily mean a conference championship or top team. Now the problem is with our current coaching staff, does that mean having less 4 and 5 star players mean we will now be at the bottom of the league? Time will tell.

Good coaching can take a three star player and make him around a 4 or even a 5 star player. If this were to happen at SC, Harrell, the new db and dline coach will need to see this through. Pendergast won’t. I am open regarding Drevino to see if he can do this. If Keary Colbert is the receiver’s coach, then that is fine.

Clay Helton’s coaching takes a 4 or 5 star recruit and turns him into a 2 or 3 star finished product.
Since 2010 USC has been known as, “The program where 5 star recruits go to die”.

It’s a perfect example of how the coach makes the program, not the other way around, like the arrogant USC administration thinks.

The dumpster fire has spread to the nearby building. I’m not sure at this point if it can be contained.
