Who Do You Pick To Win Pac-12?

The Pac-12 media poll comes out tomorrow. Where will USC be selected? In my own poll for the Sporting News, I picked Utah to win the Pac-12 South over USC.

That will probably be the safe pick tomorrow too. With Oregon picked to win the Pac-12 North. In a twist, the Pac-12 will also name a preseason all-conference team for the first time.

By the way, if you want a bad stat, Clay Helton is 15-23-1 against the spread.

  • Quarterback Bryce Young of Mater Dei was awarded a fifth star by 247 Sports. He remains a four-star recruit with Rivals.
  • Nick Newman of Cal has been hired as the jumps/multi-events coach for USC track and field. He is the fifth-or-sixth jumps coach in Caryl Smith-Gilbert’s tenure at USC.

  1. The Sporting News has many, many writers, but is there any other scribe other than Scottie who could have written the passage below:

“USC is a mess with Clay Helton on the hot seat and athletic director Lynn Swann cluelessly supervising the program.”

  2. Definitely Utah, and I think this time next year, Arizona State will be in the mix . Mario Christobal can recruit his ass off up in Oregon, but can he coach is the question,if so, the whole PAC 12 better take notice, because he’s signed some big time talent

  4. Oregon…..when a team has a dominant OL with a good QB……its over……USC has a 2nd class OL with a QB that is 3rd tier…….and a no tier coaching staff.

    1. If Sears starts and plays, I think SC can be alright. If Daniels starts, like Dandy Don would sing, “Turn out the lights, the party is over”..
