Jack Sears Enters NCAA Transfer Portal

USC quarterback Jack Sears has decided being the scout team is not worth it and entered the NCAA transfer portal. His statement is below.

Sears needs to find a new school where he knows he will play. So entering the portal now makes sense. He can’t afford to go to a school where he might not play.

    1. Hey, that’s covered in SUCCX Business 101: “There’s no harm swindling business the associate(s) to increase cash flow/revenue.”

      Also students, always encourage the business associate(s ) not to bother with their due diligence. Just mention, w/o laughing, that SUCCX believes moral/business ethics are more important than the P & L bottom line.

  3. Sounds like an upstanding guy. I don’t think he is NFL material, but apparently the lure of being a No. 1 quarterback in some college is enough to get his juices going.

  4. It was the only decision as USC was never going to make an honest man out of him. Putting him in the 4th slot was just the coach pushing him out of the nest, I’m sure in all hopes that he will fly. The QB controversy must truly be over now…right?

    1. controversial decisions are never over…and this will impact this season
      only a q/b like Sam Darnold could make up for the intentional soft practices…he could run and deliver or pass on the run and deliver…just like jack would have or Matrt would have…that controversy will never go away.

  8. If Matt Finks had any balls, then he’d fuck Clay Helton over, and transfer too. But since he was frightened of the quarterback competition at the University of Illinois, he’ll probably stay, and become a sideline cheerleader 🙄. #gutless

      1. Agreed, Fink Is now very well positioned to play a very important role. In reality, Slovis will be on a short leash as number 2. The minute Slovis starts to get a deer in the headlights look, he’ll get yanked.

        Having 4 solid QB’s in camp has truly been a luxury. Ask U-Dub.

  10. Jack Sears is a smart stand up young man. He deserves to start as a quarterback at a Div 1 school where can play football, have a college football legacy and get his masters paid for :). He will be a success in whatever he does. Harrell had a say in this so its not all Helton.

  11. Glad to hear that Sears is not putting up with the Helton treatment. Playing his boyfriend instead of the talent. Note to Mr stupid…..you failed to recruit offensive linemen……so should probably play a mobile QB against the better D lines……. who might that be…….don’t bullshit us with your lets watch the film when Utah buries your boyfriend and he comes out of the pile shaking his right hand.
    God bless JT but the entire world knows that he does not like getting hit and is a different QB after he gets hit. Another issue is he is not the most accurate passer in the world under duress.
    Does anybody reasonable think that Kelly, Peterson, Christo, Willingham etc have not picked this up on tape. Yes they watch films also…..but they learn and react to them.
    Blitz.blitz.blitz and cover short. So he scores a few TD’s with a few long throws. By the third quarter and getting buried a dozen times the passes will be heaved up to anybody.

  12. He has 2 years of eligibility left and, as he stated, he’s a USC grad. he also escaped the joke that USC has become under: Haden, Sarkisian, Helton and Swann. Here’s to Sears becoming ‘Matt Cassell’

  18. Under Helton, how many players have entered the transfer portal? There has been many. That means that the players feel that they are not getting a fair shake or they are not buying into the system at SC anymore. When Daniels does go down (which he will), Helton had better made the right decision in August about making Slovis #2. Sears should have been the starter, He is head and shoulders above Daniels. I just wonder what kind of deal Helton made that he had to start Daniels.

  19. Helton needs to be let go now. His management skills just plain suck. He can’t decifer who is the best qb. This is the second time he as screwed this up. Look at Darnold, now Sears.
