USC announced cornerback Max Williams was suspended for the Notre Dame game because of a team rules violation.
But sources tell me linebacker Ralen Goforth and safety Briton Allen were also suspended. They did not dress for the game.
I’ve now heard different reasons for the suspension, none of which would be considered serious. Seems a bit odd USC just didn’t announce all three were suspended.
Never heard any of their names or numbers called in a game prior to Notre Dame.

Maybe the refs confused Clay with Chip because Clay’s body is similar to Chip’s? And not in a good way.

How were they suspended? In the McKay days suspended players were hung by their thumbs. Robinson preferred hanging by heels, and painful Pete would hang the players face down spread eagle by wrists and ankles.
So imagining Helton’s method would be difficult, probably locked in a room with game films of UCLA games. That would be torture.

Absolutely, 12 hours of the 13 – 9 UCLA victory video would make waterboard torture a walk in the park.
