USC-Arizona Live Blog

Arizona finally on board with 56-yard TD pass. It’s 34-7.

Kenan Christon goes 55 yards for the TD. So the top 2 backs couldn’t get on the field all season.

There is still one more quarter to this game!

Kedon Slovis finally completes a deep ball to Michael Pittman with woeful coverage by Arizona. And then Slovis throws a short TD pass to Tyler Vaughns. USC leads 27-0.

Maybe Matt Fink deserves a chance.

How bad is the strength-and-conditioning program when Arizona is beating up the Trojans?

Oh oh. Drake Jackson and Markese Stepp sprained ankles.

And it’s halftime: USC 17, Arizona 0. It’s been a pretty sleepy first half

Stephen Carr hobbles off the field. That means Graham Harrell is forced to use Markese Stepp and he goes 12 yards for the TD.

USC is 1 for 6 on third down so far.

End of first quarter: USC 10, Arizona 0. The Wildcats are trying to lose.

Arizona fumbles again. Looks like the Wildcats want to lose.

After wasting their time with Stephen Carr at tailback, Markese Stepp is finally getting some carries and moving the ball.

USC takes a 3-0 lead on a field goal by Chase McGrath after Arizona fumbled the punt return.

The offense looks pretty bad on the first few series despite Arizona’s reputation.

Hunter Echols got hurt on the first series and left the game.

Defensive end Christian Rector (ankle) is out. Hunter Echols will replace him.

Max Williams (nickel) Chris Steele (CB) and Dorian Hewett (CB) will start.

As expected, linebacker Palaie Gaoteote and cornerback Olaijah Griffin are not dressed. Cornerback Isaac Taylor-Stuart did some running and looks ready to play.

    1. Easy, Brent. Poor Helton just didn’t have much to go on —Carr has only fucked up umpteen 3rd and 1’s over the course of the last 2 years….

      1. I like Harrell’s thinking —now that we’re down to zero tailbacks he’s gonna abandon the Air Raid and go with the run…

      1. Michael, is Owns saying that ucla would be worse off if Hunter Echols were a bruin?

Can we stop and process that for a moment? ucla is 5-14 in the last 2 years. With that record, it is obvious that ucla is overflowing with players much more talented than Echols.

  1. Did Helton actually run the clock down to zero again on first and goal calling plays from the sidelines?

    1. Nah, Pat Haden was in the midst of one of his bi-monthly benders. Pat just got a little extra saucy that night. He told everybody it was b/c of the heat.

  2. I have spent so much time on a wasted effort. I got the PAC 12 now app for kindle fire. What a joke kindle fire doesn’t support PAC12 so after trying for hours and downloading programs I have up and downloaded the ios version on my phone. It worked and I caught some the Cal game. However when the game started I got kicked off the app by my provider. So the first half has been arguing with T-Mobile TV they even have told me I didn’t have an account. It took several tries to even establish that I have an account. Listening to the game it sounds like we’re typical fall apart mode.

    1. The spineless Pac-12 University presidents won’t fire Larry Scott. Most highly paid as well as the worst league commissioner in the country. By far.

    1. They’re not hiring Urban Meyer. Dude was forced to quit b/c he kept quiet about one of his coaches who was abusing his spouse. They can’t. They’re paying $350m b/c their gynecologist sexually assaulted tone of girls. Their Med School Dean has to quit b/c he was smoking meth w/ a hooker who later almost died in his hotel room. I mean, they booted the kicker who won them a Rose Bowl b/c someone saw him rough housing w/ his girlfriend. Also, the new President is a woman. Can you imagine that interview? “Tell me about the wife beating thing”.

  3. memo to: ’67

    UCLA 34 – Clown U 27

Led by Hunter “Godzilla” Echols, the superior bozo ‘D’ allowed Joshua Kelly only 289 yards rushing during the game.

Gosh ’67, since the Clownster flipped the incredible Echols, he’s been healthy for what: a total of 3 – 4 games.

Is it true ’67 that 500 people showed up for the band-box, barn-burner Villanova vs Clown U exhibition game at the bozo Galen Auditorium.
