Top 5 coaching candidates
1. Urban Meyer
2-5 who cares
Any bowl that wasn’t a Rose Bowl or now a days a playoff game is a bad experience. Who cares if you play in some horseshit bowl with 5,000 people there.

We’re not getting Urban Meyer and I think you know that deep down.

No I don’t know that and neither do you

Hey buddha lets just hope the deal gets done ASAP, before Meyer pulls a Kingsbury snubs Usc and bolts for Dallas. Garrett is on the hot seat for the Cowboys and Meyer is on record saying if the job would open up he would have interest in that head coaching job..!

Budda,
I got to agree with you for the most part. However, seeing SC play Wisconsin the Holiday Bowl would had been classic if SC had a very good coach. it was another loss due to him.

You forgot #0 Clay Helton!!
He is a former Rosebowl winning coach! He did it with a backup QB!!! Bohn will make this situation work! We are going back up to the top with coach Clay Helton! He is an honest God fearing man unlike womanizing pagan Urban Meyer! We just got rid of the sexually abusive Doctor! Why would you want a sketchy enabler of spouse abuse as our coach??!!

Franklin
PJ
in that order.
A bowl would be a positive experience for the players.

No Franklin
PJ just signed a long term deal, don’t see SC paying a buyout

No Franklin.
Try and get Cristobal or Tedford.

Worst memories (it’s all criteria dependent of course) in no particular order:
-Texas. Enough said.
-Blowing big lead against Michigan in Rose Bowl in 1989.
-Getting manhandled by Auburn in 1987 Citrus Bowl.
-Zombies hijacking bodies of each team member and coach in 1982 Fiesta Bowl.
-Anything to do with the f’ing Sun Bowl.
-Physical beatdown and worse coaching mismatch against Ohio State of recent vintage (not so subtle “Please hurry the f up and hire him already!” hint).

We only had a 14-3 lead at half in the 89 RB, what sucked was we didn’t score a point in the second half. It was Smith’s best team and the last time SC was good for a long time

If Rodney Peete hadn’t been knocked out of the ND game that December that team would have been national champs.

Here’s a little cut and past for you fellas.
James Franklin:
He has a $2 million buyout for the 2017 season and a $1 million buyout for every subsequent year. In addition to the guaranteed money, Franklin’s contract has incentives including $800,000 for a national title, $400,000 for a College Football Playoff appearance and $350,000 for winning the Big Ten Championship Game.
P J Fleck:
Fleck’s new contract is U of M’s biggest coaching deal ever (gallery) The University of Minnesota and football coach P.J. … So the new contract includes a hefty buyout clause of $10 million if Fleck leaves next year. The buyout falls to $4.5 in 2021 and $3 million in 2022.
Matt Campbell:
Campbell and ISU agreed to a contract extension through 2024, ISU announced Sunday. … In his new contract, his buyout is $7 million if he leaves for another job before Feb. 1, 2019. It decreases $1 million annually thereafter.
Brent Venable:
Brent’s extremely excited. … While his compensation will remain the same, Venables will earn retention bonuses of $200,000 in 2018 and 2019 and of $400,000 per year each of the last three seasons. His contract includes no buyout if he leaves for a head coaching job.
Mario Cristobal:
Cristobal buyout: $9 million before 1.14.2020, $8 million before 1.14.2021, $5 million before 1.14.2022, $3 million before 1.14.2023, and $2 million before 2024.
Just something for you to ruminate over.
