USC Is Located In Hollywood?

Why is USC so obsessed with Hollywood? It now thinks it is located in Hollywood? Look at this dumb tweet:

Image
  • Remember those stirring speeches Marv Goux gave talking about how USC was going to defend the Coliseum in “Hollywood?”
  • I will have more analysis later, but I spoke to an NFL coach today and the first thing he said is, “Clay Helton, he’s a lucky old sucker.”
  • Remember all the talk about USC throwing more to the tight ends? Jude Wolfe caught 2 passes. The other tights caught zero passes.

Clay Helton doesn’t know his head from his ass and couldn’t find his dick with both his hands shoved down the front of his pants…and you expect him to know his own whereabouts half the time?

    3. You clowns still don’t get it, as long as that idiot Clay Helton has anything to do with USC football the program isn’t going anywhere.

No matter what team Helton puts on the field, that team would lose to the likes of Alabama or Clemson by 40+ pts.

Helton is a fucking clown, a third rate coach at best and that’s all he’ll ever be.

You idiots actually believing that Helton can take a program and have it compete among the elite is beyond laughable, that is how fucking stupid you are.

Pudly dumb fuck and gotroll22 trying to tell people that the Trojan team you saw yesterday vs ASU could make it to the CFP shows you how much they know about college football. Those two dumb fucks haven’t even figured out that Clay Helton isn’t worth a shit, that’s how much they know.

Like I said, as long as Clay Helton has anything to do with the program it ain’t going anywhere but into the ground.

All that idiot Helton does is waste talent and USC doesn’t seem to mind, keeping him around when he’s nothing but a goddamn clown, well…seeing that team yesterday wasn’t just a waste of talent, it was a waste of time to watch.

  1. Same garbage, different year … sloppy garbage from a too small team that cannot. It has been 11 years now without a real football coach … get rid of this bum

      1. I know MG but the overcompensating by some who portray SC as either in Hollywood or the beach persists. I’ve never understood it. We are where we are and we have a lot of traditional commitment to the community to be proud of.

      2. I had great neighbors in my 8 years in South Central and East LA, my friends
Solid, decent, hard-working community minded people.
        Diverse too.
Learned a lot about community in those years.
(My mom lived way out in Canoga Park. It was a 90 min drive on the 101 on a Friday. I never visited.)

Good Trojans understand this. We never commuted in from Santa Monica.

      1. Right now the path to the national championship is blacked by Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame and perhaps Clemson as the 4th seed so even if SC runs the table our best bet is the Rose Bowl . The SC schedule is a cream puff the rest of the way until we play Oregon in the playoff. Do you think our new assistants and Graham Harrell can develop this talent. by December?

      2. You know the Rose Bowl is part of the CFP..

“The top four teams will participate in the Playoff Semifinals Friday, January 1, in the Rose Bowl Game and Sugar Bowl. The national championship game will be played Monday, January 11, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.”

      3. The Rose Bowl is a GREAT landing spot for us. We’re not ready for the playoffs (we’d outgain some of the teams you’ve mentioned —but we wouldn’t win) —but we’re good and we could close out the year with a major victory in a major (in my heart of hearts —the Most Major) bowl game….

      7. Calling SUCC FB a good team is hilarious. F**k’g incredibly lucky is more like it. For instance, why were two SUCC receivers two feet apart in the end zone on the ricochet TD.

      8. Were you ruins lucky or good in 1980 when they defeated SC 20-17 on a pass tipped by Trojan DB Jeff Fisher into the waiting hands of RB Freeman McNeil? At that point Terry Donahue had lost 4 straight to the John Robinson’s Trojans. A fifth loss would have been the final nail in the coffin and result in his last season in Westwood.

  3. I loved that the Fox guys referred to the PAC 12 channel as a Twitter punchline. They must not have seen the halftime show.
I almost used every quote I posted this morning. “Throw the ball,” was my most overused shout. I don’t blame Slovis , the receiver corps as a group was not getting a separation soon enough. It wasn’t until the superior conditioning of St.Brown caused their secondary to cramp up that there was separation.

Finally, much was made about the early start and maybe some of it was right. USC didn’t look like USC until after 12:30 pm.

It’s time to buy cutouts of fans holding “Fire Helton” signs

    1. Right on, RT.
Trojans WERE ready to play 95 offensive downs–not including punts, etc.

I give the “fighting Herms” a ton of credit. Their DBs and D line played smart, NFL-style Football. Ball hawking. Fumble creating. THAT’S D!

Lewis and Pierce are gonna be scary. My greatest hope is that both of them bolt for the NFL THIS DECEMBER!

The Trojan O was “O kay” for game 1. Dodge the COVID and maybe we’ll see some improvement during this surrogate season.

      Now 2021? That’s what we’re building for.

      1. Yep. Herm’s guys—coaches & players— did themselves proud. [Like everybody else I’m sick of seeing Drevno’s unit play without swagger. How long has it been since we’ve seen our o-line play nasty for 60 minutes]?

  4. Anyone watching Ducks and Trees? Ducks have a brand new O line, and a new QB. IMHO, QB is a significant step down from Herbert. One pick, could have been 3. Ducks look gettable if their running game can be contained.

  5. Exactly –which is why I give Clemson so much credit for their gutty performances the last 2 weeks. With some star players out, including their great QB, they never stopped fighting….they played like champions should…

      1. Clemson would be conference champs and get the first spot. But there’s also a possibility of three way tie with Miami who has one loss…
Byu is undefeated and so is Cincinnati. There are a lot of road blocks for us to navigate at this point.

  6. Talking TE?

I see Drake as kinda’ a TE. Much like a Jimmy Graham TE. I don’t know how good Kittle and T. Kelce are at line blocking, but they are great hybrid TE’s.

    1. You know what Drake really is? He’s a football player. He’s a baller. You could put this guy at fullback and he’d still be a fucking nightmare.

  7. Did anyone notice that Kedon didn’t put the same spin on the ball yesterday? Looked as tho he’d hurt his hand during the week. Seemed like every pass came out with a wobble.

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Exactly right. It might be due to throwing on the run so often more than hurt hand, though. The last TD (you know, the WINNING one) had mucho heat on it.

      Liked by 2 people

      1. Slovis doesn’t throw like Manning, though. Last year his follow through was beautiful to watch —his right hand always ended up on [what would be] his left pants pocket. Yesterday that was missing. Maybe he was expecting to have more time (given the whole Arizona State team was back in pass coverage) but he was still getting hurried or sacked.
