Marlon Tuipulotu Turns Pro

USC defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu announced today he would turn pro.

He won’t be the last either.

How will the defense be better next season? No Talanoa Hufanga. No Tuipulotu. No Olaijah Griffin.

Clay Helton will fix it by firing Tim Drevno and Aaron Ausmus.

That’s not going to quell some of the dissension that has existed within the program and surfaced since the season ended.

        I know this site has a moderator because I know posts disappear. Sadly in a day or so the important points of the post show up as new ideas from Scot (spelled wrong to avoid moderator interference) however you can see that the trojandude207 post is authentic. Each email generates a new avitar. Look at ‘Fuck You’ posts. At 2:24 am (post time) she has a golden avitar. At 3:35 am she has a lavender avatar. Finally at 3:58 am she has a red avitar. That’s 3 email addresses for one name. Can I get a troll call operator?

  4. It use to be our assistant football coaches would leave for other pro or college jobs………….Have you folks noticed no one else makes job offers to our assistant coaches these days?

    Very sad…..no wonder the program is sinking
    Looks to me like with all the players either going pro or transferring that Helton has a death sentence next year with 2021 one of the worst seasons in USC history

      2. So true, but UCLA doesn’t advertise itself as an elite FB Program as the Clown U FB program and SUCC bloggers do routinely.

        UCLA defense doesn’t go ape-sh*t when it makes a tackle.

        UCLA doesn’t do post game taunting.

    3. UCLA does not advertise itself as elite, they are just happy to have one winning season every five years.
      First you have to make tackle to celebrate. A feeling somewhat alien to UCLA players.
      If they don’t do post game taunting it is because there is nothing to taunt about.
      Owns, a man has to know his limitations, so very glad you understand yourself. Okay, have a cookie, and you may go now. (P.S. You lose again 🙂

Even after he has screwed up our recruiting the USC roster is still in the top quarter of the pac 12……however Udub, Oregon, Stanford and ND have now reached the point where their raw talent is very close to us. No longer do we step on the field with a visible advantage. Utah and Az St, although inferior, are no longer scared of us. So….if Helton coaches like he has been coaching its going to be another dreary year next year.

    1. Agree on nearly all parts, Mr. Flinstone. I’m not sure 2021 will be dreary.

      I never saw 2020 as “the year”–even before COVID hit the States.
      Losses to Bama and ND were certain for 2020, with a few losses in the conference likely.

      I saw 2021 as Christon’s and Stepps’ breakout year.
      Takes a while for defenders to adapt to a new DC, and I thought 2021 would be a better year for our defense, with Gaoteote getting coached up and having a stellar 2021.

      …of mice and men.

      2021 was gonna be “the year.” With a fair amount of talent leaving–ill-advisedly–for the NFL, 2021 will be challenging for Trojan fans.

      My fear for 2021? A 9-3 season.

    1. Right on GC! Opie’s total disregard for the run fosters a mentality in the O-line that no coach can fix. If you know ahead of time that you will only be running 12 times all game, and that 4th and inches will be run from the shotgun, why work on run blocking? I don’t think even Vince Lombardi could have made this O-line dominant with Opie in charge of the air raid bs offense. Gomer is even more dangerous than Opie because his soft no tackling practices fosters weakness throughout the program. The Village idiot can change asst coaches, it’s still his program and it hasn’t passed the sniff test since the Penn St Rose Bowl

  10. Korey Foreman making his college choice tomorrow at the All-American Bowl Game Special.
    They say he’s going to USC but I wouldn’t be surprised or angry at this point if he went elsewhere.
