Is this one of the reasons USC likes Mario Cristobal?
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsWhile some may focus on Coach Cristobal yelling, take a look at how Kris Hutson is handling this.

Eye contact. Ends with a "Yes sir." Just an absolutely amazing job of receiving coaching right here. pic.twitter.com/iX7Q3dA1jW
Very Nick Saban … who Cristobal coached under. 👍👍 was that Yogi Roth commenting “oh he went too far”!? No showboating! Love the discipline.

That’s exactly what USC needs right now!!! And if Cristobal looked like Saban, it’s because he was an assistant under Saban. I bet the young student-athlete who was flagged will never showboat during a game again. Lesson learned. Something our Trojans never learned in the 6 years under Gomer

This was nothing. Being involved in 10 seconds of a rant is not gonna hurt anybody. The opposite actually. It’s how Cristobal got them ready to beat us last year…and beat Ohio State a couple weeks ago.

According to sources, President Folt and AD Bohn had phone meetings with Jim Tressel and Art Briels. They are looking for coaches in the mold of Pete Carroll. Guys who win games but have troubled moral track record. Bill McCarthy already said no. Next coaches on the docket are Lane Kiffin and Jim Mora…
I think trOJans should hire Jack Del Rio and sign Ken Norton as DC and Mike Williams as OC.

I think we can use Clay’s golden quote once more:
“That is not who we are.”

One thing we learned the past decade … any Pete Carroll assistant not named Chow or Ruehl are shit talking idiot frauds. Yogi Roth lol his head is still up Kiffin’s dumb ass.

Yogi Roth always reminded me of Kato Kaelin.

Exactly. Consider that Yogi was a ball washing machine for Helton and that you should tell you everything about his football acumen. I have but one question for old Yogi. Aside from knowing Fredo Corleone at Pitt, what exactly have you accomplished in the game of football?

What has he accomplished?! What has he accomplished?! He’s only the lead guy for the Pac 12 Network! That’s all!

Fuck what USC wants! This is what USC (and many other sports/teams) NEED, across the board! Coach hard, win hard! Loved it. Rod Gilmore sounded soft as shit on his call of it.

SUCCmeisters, with the exception of a ungodly bozo $$$ offer of employment, what would Cristobal gain in leaving Oregon for Clown U? Leaving Oregon for SUCC, Cristobal would be moving from an A- to a C– FB Program.
Why would Nike allow a lower tier Nike sponsored University to poach the HFBC from Oregon, the premier Nike sponsored University? – LOL!
Why, when Cristobal has no trouble recruiting in SUCC’s patch, leave an environmental Shangri-La for a smoggy, urban ghetto?

MG, kindly be specific what SUCC offers that Cristobal can’t resist.
I mean if Cristobal likes to conduct FB practices where players have to duck the odd, stray bullet, well then OK, I understand Cristobal’s interest. Clown U is the only Div. 1 FB program where a scholarship recruit can earn a Purple Heart.

Ducking the stray bullet has been proven to improve SPARC scores by 15.9 percent, and highly statistically significant. Now being recommended to all D1 programs.

Amen! You’re the only Trojan fan with any sense. NO WAY is Cristobal leaving his environmental Mecca for the urban chaos of LA. Coach C has a crazy salary – highest paid state employee in the state of Oregon! Plus everything that Nike pays over – and under – the table, iykwim. No chance in hell USC lures him away.
I am sorry, but I am taking issue with your avatar. Is that Trump? You triggered me, Owns! My wife turned to me the other day and said “this world needs Trump back”. Are you kidding me??? She’s was a Biden voter! She’s pointing to the border crisis, Afghanistan, unemployment, inflation, and totalitarianism and blaming Biden for it. I say it’s Trump’s fault. Anyway, I like your views on football, but your support for Frump: not so much.

Heard they’d reached out to Anthony Lynn the ex-Chargers HC & current Lions OC to see if he’d be interested in the job. He’d def run the ball.

Yeah he’d run the ball, but I don’t think he would be as successful head coach at USC. He really wasn’t a successful coach for the Chargers. Some guys are better at being assistants than head coaches.

Ohio St. isn’t that good this year and Oregon isn’t much better. I wasn’t impressed when the Ducks beat a decent Buckeye team.
Cristobal is a poor man’s Ed Orgeron wannabe. He’s not that good of a coach, he’s over-rated.
Look at his record at Oregon, he had one good year at 12-2 and they didn’t play a tough schedule. They lost to Auburn to open the season and lost to ASU. They beat Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl…Pffft!
Big mistake if USC throws a bunch of money at him and convinces him to take the job.

Jealousy don’t look good on you, Tebow.
And please don’t pair the name of Tebow to my precious Obama. C’mon! Tim Tebow is a Jesus-loving Christian and Obama is the greatest leader in the history of world leaders. I challenge you to name one leader who even came close. And don’t say Joe Biden, because I’m pretty sure we all know he is working on Obama’s behalf.

Whoever they get we want the team to fear him/her (no telling how far Bohn will go) more than they fear losing. They should respect him/her more than fear.
He/She needs to know football better than the competition and not be afraid to pull stuff like letting the rugby kicker run a fake.

Is it too late to rehire Clay Helton?

Yes it is. Apparently, he’s making inquiries into the possible job openings at Clemson, FSU, Iowa State, Indiana, Miami, North Carolina, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin. But “sources” say that he’s holding out for the OC job at Bama once O’Brien leaves at the end of the year.
He wants to bring the Faith, Family & Football concepts to take Bama to the next level.

HOT NEWS FROM PRACTICE TODAY!: PERHAPS GRAHAM HARRELL HAS FINALLY DECIDED TO THROW HIS AIR RAID OFFENSE IN THE TRASH, AND INSTALL A NEW INNOVATIVE OFFENSE CALLED THE “WISHBONE”. DRAKE LONDON WILL BE THE NEW QB…. …………….ANYONE REMEMBER THE DAY WHEN UCLA RAN THE WISHBONE AND THE QB was MARK HARMON.
If only everyone knew that Graham Harrell in reality is a genius offensive mind kind of like Paul Hackett, and Ted Tollner were back in the day.

I would still love to hear who the Wolfman is pulling for to become the next USC football coach. He was right about James Franklin at the end of 2013 when USC was looking for a coach and Franklin was still at Vanderbilt. He advocated for him and he has since proven himself. I’m just curious who he would prefer now.

The Wolfman is for immediately naming Urban Meyer President, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach.

If that’s true then it will probably the first HC that Wolfie has ever supported, at least as far back as I can remember.

If Dave Aranda keeps winning at Baylor, he is a good pick. He was already slated to be DC before they hired TO. Aranda is a smart cookie. That is what we need, football brains. He had a tough first year as HC, but the sign of a good football coach is improvement each year. On the other hand, TO has generally had defenses that got worse under his reign. And GH’s offense is getting worse each year.
I like a defensive coordinator background as HC. A good defense can be reloaded every year. Offenses can have up and down years, based on talent.
I’m tired of all the “big names” from the past. Meyer is not turning the Jaguars into winners. Is Bob Stoops still as sharp and capable as he was in the past?
Sure Mario would be a good coach, but I just hate the guy. Isnt he better as the villain in the story arc of the revival of SC football?
