USC Notes: Parker Lewis Transfers To Ohio State

Former USC kicker Parker Lewis has committed to Ohio State. Will he get any targeting penalties for the Buckeyes?

  • The Pac-12 will hold its media day on July 29 at L.A. Live. This is a departure because in recent years the event has been held at the Hollywood and Highland complex.
  • Arizona has offered a scholarship to quarterback Cole Leinart, the son of Matt Leinart and former USC women’s basketball player Brynn Cameron. Cole Leinart is expected to enroll at Mater Dei next year.
  • The former dean of the USC School of Education dean directed staff to omit certain information from the U.S. News ranking submission going back at least to 2013, according to new Jones Day report released today. The current dean continued practice briefly, then reported issue to the provost.

        [The ads to take very seriously are the ones that show a photo of Hillary Clinton or Madonna and say if you recognize this person you should take their test —and look at all the products on every page —cuz it’s possible your I.Q is in the top 1% of the world population]…

  4. If only Woody Hayes was still coaching the Buckeyes. A kicker getting flagged for targeting would have earned about 5 of those Buckeye decals on that one play alone.

  5. Re getting transfer players from the portal——YOOOKLA is ranked seventh best. We are second. We need more quality guys. Especially more linesmen like Ed is saying. Ed knows football

  8. Since we went 4 and 8 last year, I would be happy with 8 and 4.

    Everyone needs to lower these crazy expectations. We are very thin after 1st string. This is football and there will be injuries since it is a contact sport.

    Anything over 8 wins and I am buying drinks at Julie’s or Margherita Jones.

  16. Sports update: USC might get last year’s Biletnikoff winner through the portal, he had 100 catches, nearly 1600 yards and something like 17 TD.

  17. Has Drake Jackson ———been drafted yet.??? He was one of the biggest over-hyped players ever to play football at USC. The guy did nothing very soft. Has a good body, but not the heart to ever be a top player in any league. I do think an NFL steal would get a steal with our running back in the current draft who transferred from Texas.

  18. Wow- Carol Folt sure looked sexy in that mini-skirt during last Saturday’s spring game. She told me she follows Scott Wolf, and his blog very closely. She said Scott is hot, but can’t wait to meet Trojan 1967 and Michael G in person.
