Notre Dame pitcher Caden Aoki has become the first recruit of the Andy Stankiewicz Era.
Aoki, who is from Huntington Beach, announced he would transfer to USC. He pitched only 9.1 innings last season before getting injured.
Aoki hit .378 with 40 runs, nine home runs, 25 RBIs during his senior season at Huntington Beach. He also pitched 45.1 innings with a 9-0 record and 0.93 ERA with 46 strikeouts and 10 walks during his senior campaign.
Meanwhile, USC pitcher Charlie Hurley, who entered the transfer portal during the coaching search, has committed to Texas.
- Former USC tailback Markese Stepp is back in the transfer portal after spending last season at Nebraska.

Lincoln Riley should allow Markese Stepp to transfer back to USC from Nebraska. He would be perfect for short yardage, red zone carries similar to Lendale White. We need a big back. Definitely talented, doubtful he would come back but why not extend an invitation.
