I stopped watching the pros because of the ‘Aren’t I great’ celebrations, sometimes after a routine tackle. And now the college boys have caught this self-centered fever, including SC.
I hope Wiley puts a lid on that. Momentarily jumping up and down, patting your teammates on the helmet after a td is the only on-field celebration I wish to see.

I used to love it when someone would score then act like it was no big deal, drop the ball, and jog to the sideline. These days 40 guys have to body slam, dance, hand jive, then wear a championship belt for a while on the sideline.

Moving to San Marcos from Rialto is an eye opener. I didn’t know there were two Mater Dei schools in the state. The local news runs a high school football segment called the Prep Pigskin Report. I got coverage of the top schools in the area. There are some stud kids in San Diego area.
