I get why USC has to create hype videos for NIL. It needs to come up with something to impress recruits.
What is less clear to me is why some media feel the need to cheer on whatever BLVD Studios announces? What’s in it for them? Are they invested somehow in this? If you cover the team, you don’t need to cheer on endorsements, unless you are a total fanboy (which explains plenty) or getting a cut from BLVD.
BLVD announced Sunday it will have four new shows “coming to your phones.”
One show will be about the “best taco joints LA offers.”
Another show features USC athletes playing video games with “influencer” Sydnee Goodman.
You might remember her playing video games in that disastrous BLVD hype video a couple years ago that Coach Bohn yanked from the internet.
Bohn buried it but here it is to jog your memory.
Here’s Goodman playing video games with Alijah Vera-Tucker in that video.
And two years later, she’s playing with Jordan Addison in the video below. Seminal content!https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js
