Discuss The USC-Fresno State Game

How many TD passes will Caleb Williams have tonight? Can he challenge this season Cody Kessler’s school-record 7 TDs vs. Colorado?

Would Lincoln Riley even let him throw that many in a game? He’s probably not a stat hound like Steve Sarkisian.

  • Turns out the announced crowd at the Rose Bowl today was 29,344. It was the second-smallest home crowd ever for the Bruins (behind the season-opener against Bowling Green). So much for the people who claimed no students and the heat were reasons for the Bowling Green crowd two weeks ago.

  1. Keys to the game. 1) Play to our offensive strengths. 2) Confuse the QB with different coverages. 3) Don’t allow 6 yards a carry on 1st down. 4) Limit PI in the secondary. 5) Create 2 turnovers and convert into 14 pts. For you bettors that’s how you will be able to cover the spread, that’s if it’s becomes a back n forth game I really don’t see that happening. Defense knows they are presently the weaklink of the team. Hopefully they come out fire n get Fresno St, to punt 3 times .

    1. The Qb for Washington is lights out. He is really a good passer, right up their with our own guy Caleb. But he actually combe his hair, unlike Caled, who looks like someone took a shit on his head . We could see WA in the championship game, who knows.

  3. Washington is really good. They hired one of the best coaches out there. I’m beginning to wonder how good ND is. They barely beat Cal today and lost last week to Marshall who lost today to Bowling Green whom UCLA killed.

  4. #5 Clemson can barely handle Louisiana Tech 20-6. They are not a #5 team, no way. USC game will start late as Ohio St is playing Akron in the early 4th quarter.

  5. Terrell Bynum has dropped 2 or 3? Any receiver who drops the ball should be pulled.

The defensive line is horrible. That is going to be a problem this year.

  6. LOL!

Kourtney Foreman is absolutely useless, they have to sit her down.

Tuli Tuilupoopoo has spent more time being thrown on the ground than anything, the Fresno St. players are laughing at her.

And now the offensive line is falling apart. Fresno St. came out in the 2nd qtr. and punched USC in the mouth and the Ladies of Troy are against the ropes.

Fresno St. now being really physical and it’s paying off.

    1. Wow! The nerve of some people. After the performance in Pasadena against SOUTH ALABAMA and pathetic support from their fans, you look like a fool ragging on USC.

About as dumb as people supporting our current failure of an adminisration!

  7. USC has no pass rush to speak of. At some point you got to start giving some of the other players a shot to see what they can do because the girls they have out there are, getting beat like they stole something.

Caleb Williams is flustered, feeling the pressure

    1. The Trojans defensive line is complete garbage. They are worse than a turnstile.

And yet clueless Grinch keeps the girls Tuli Tuilupoopoo and Kourtney Foreman out there, continuing to embarrass themselves and the team as a whole…unbelievable!

      1. It’s more a reflection of the schedule and how vulnerable USC’s opponents are than this teams ability to play on Georgia type level, who would definitely go undefeated.

  8. 3 games, and no turnovers from the offense. Must be close to a record.

But leave it to Scottie’s next post to turn a 45-17 beatdown into a piece of crap.

    1. The only way they will improve is if they start developing people fast. It’s to late to go out and bring in better D-Linemen and what I am seeing isn’t impressing me.

      1. Parcelman007 you are so right. We are doing just enough to get by right. Defensive line needs other people to step up besides Tuli n Byrd. Foreman is not doing shit. Where is the other DL, transfers are not giving us nothing. We better get it together or we are going to get killed next week. Still getting gashed in the run game, so unorganized before the snap. Grinch you must do more film study point out to backend to stay disciplined taking wrong angles on sweeps, no penetration by DL only Gentry & Lee are playing their ass off. Where is the R. Davis, and the others. We need find players who want to play

  9. The game is over my keys to the game actually played out except the score. We caused 2 turnovers, had 3 series of 3 n out, by the defense Didn’t really confuse QB with coverage schemes. No PI which was good. But still gave up too many runs over 10+ yards. Bend but break defense is going bite us with physical teams who control us with power running. Smallish backs are killing us with runs in the A gap n RPO looks got to clean that up. Offensive line needs to protect Caleb better. Allowed Fresno St to many sacks from a 4 man line. We did pretty good considering this was the best offense we faced all year. Proud of run game which is getting to a point where we can be physical.

  10. UCLA Condors scare away more pigeons with another poor performance. How in the world do they pay Chip Kelly such a huge salary with such poor attendance, and a lousy football program. Perhaps, our Governor hear in California needs to send out some stimulus checks to boost the UCLA football program and attendance.

One more cupcake game at Colorado, and then the Huskies, and the Utes comes to town. Washington is impressive just as good as Oregon, and Oregon State, but USC and Utah seem to be the best teams right now, but both are definitely beatable.

    1. I didn’t think of it until you mentioned it …but….UCLA probably scared MORE fans away today….& they’re ALREADY playing like a team that knows everyone hates them… who knows what it will do to their psyches when fewer people show up for Washington…and even fewer for Utah…?!!

  11. The issues with Haskins were physical. That should get better by next week. The selfishness of the defensive players must be driving Grinch crazy. Did you notice how many times they jogged back to the line of scrimmage and were slow to line up? Plus the communication broke down (again) in the secondary. Again these can be fixed by using the bench. If the tackles are being doubled then others should be flying down into the gaps for proper run fits. There seems to be to much thinking going on by the defenders. The ends appear to be caught up into the wash or slow to say the edge. Freeman has to develop more pass rush moves. Still, old school beat down is tough to produce in this basketball-like football era.

  12. They are lucky they have this offense. I just can’t get excited about this defense. The 2nd string QB was 11-12 for 140 yards. Imagine what would have happened if Haener was in there the whole game.
It is an opportunistic defense that causes a lot of turnovers. But they give up too many big plays. Also, after the first two games where they tackled well, I thought they missed a lot of tackles in this game.
They do have a good red zone defense. Solomon Bird is definitely more productive that Korey Foreman. They have Mario Williams and Jordan Addison. Where is their 3rd receiver? FSU had 3 sacks. Those sacks were all coverage sacks. He couldn’t find anyone open. It definitely wasn’t the O-Lines fault. They gave him plenty of time. You can’t hold onto the ball forever.
Hopefully, they can keep playing at this high level offensively
