Lincoln Riley this morning on offensive Justin Dedich:
“He’s better. It’s good that we were able to hold him [against Arizona State]. Where that leaves us? We’ll see.”
- On Special Teams: ““Kickoff has had some good games and some bad games.” Kick return is “a disappointment.” Field goals have been “really good.” Punting is”a strength.” And punt return: “Solid.”
- On the pass interference calls in the Arizona State game:
“In my opinion, it was awesome coverage.”
And in my opinion, Riley needs to hire a special teams coach.

Kick return should be the least of ‘Ol Mule Shoe’s concern.
‘Ol Mule Shoe should be looking for coaches to replace those idiots Grinch, Nua and Donte Williams…all worthless!

I don’t care about kick return, all I’m concerned about is how fast I can put Trumps Balls in my mouth 😀. Fight On! ✌🏼

Not that I care about Brady and his wife much, but the kids are the losers in this deal, as always. Sometimes we put to emphasis on what we do and not who we are. They are parents, first and foremost, and what they do comes in a distant second. He should have stayed retired.

Going back to playing football seems to be a big factor in the possible divorce. You’re exactly right about personnel gains before what’s best for the kids.

For the most part, kick coverage has been atrocious. It is an adventure on every kick. Special teams and defensive secondary too many useless arm tackles with no laying a body on a body with a rap up. In the last 3 years, couldn’t set an edge to save our lives.

So many missed tackles inside the 20– we might be better off just forming a line at the 30 and letting the runner come to us.

I have thought about things more and realized that even though there were alot of players coming in through the transfer portal, that didnt come close to building a championship level roster. On a team like Alabama or Georgia, it is the depth of players that have been on the team for multiple years, that leads to the quality of play on the field.
You cant make up for that with a few really great transfers.
There was just no way to get the defensive line and offensive line to championship caliber in one year. The new coaches at Washington, Oregon and Oklahoma all inherited good rosters that had been well coached. At those schools a good coach can come in and fix problems quickly. USC’s roster was horrible and the remnants of the Helton era coaching deficiencies linger.
If USC is 10-2 in the regular season, that is a huge win. I just want to beat UCLA.
Too many SC fans act like spoiled children. It might take a couple years for this team to be dominant. In the meantime, enjoy the fact that we have an entertaining offense.
