In case you needed another reason to dislike the Pac-12, here are the potential kickoff times for what could be a huge USC-UCLA game.

730pm PST start time would be pathetic. A true example of amateur hour at its best.
These will be 2 teams ranked in top 10.
Those awake on the east coast are not watching college football at that time.
This way this conference operates is making the decision to leave in 2024 very easy.

Who cares if people in New York watch? They should tailor games to the people in that region who care and are actually on that region. Why do we out west need to cater the people back east?

TB, I will bet on SC over sucla and will put up the possessory rights to my apartment against the title to your ranch(es)
Meanwhile, why another stinkin’ night game and at a possible 7:30 time slot at that, football was meant to be played in broad daylight
but now the television wizards call the shots because they control the money doled out to the colleges

Scooter,
This game should be played at 4 PM on ESPN. It should be game day. 7:30 PM takes the life out of the game. That sucks.

Scooter,
It seems that every team that SC playes against is having their bowl. game. Defense is not that good. Riley must adress this problem. If not, then he will be nothing but an expnsive Helton.

Has anyone realized that when the Big 10 is on at 5:00 Pacific, it is an 8:00 PM Kickoff Time? This includes the Big 10 Championship Game this year. Expect to see majority or all of the USC or UCLA home games in the Big Ten at 7:30 Pacific to fill that late TV Slot, certainly will not be on Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff which is 9:00 AM Pacific. Get used to it.

..while here in Maui I actually had to get up at 6am to catch one of USC’s games last year…

That was 2020, USC vs ASU.
If you haven’t tried it, try shredding up a piece of leftover pizza and scrambling it up with some eggs. It’s really good!!
My nephew gets the credit for passing that along.

I say it depends on who SC is playing at home, if it is Purdue or Maryland then a 7:30 (10:30 East) kickoff sounds about right, but if it is Ohio St or Michigan no way they start at 10:30 East time

The latest Big Ten game scheduled this season was 9 pm ET–a Thursday night game with New Mexico St. vs. Minnesota (8 pm CT kickoff for the Golden Gophers). The second was 8:30 pm ET on another Thursday night–Chattanooga vs. Illinois (7:30 pm CT kickoff for the Illini).
I expect that to continue for USC and UCLA games played on the West Coast–nothing starting past 5:30 or 6 pm PT/8:30 or 9 pm ET.

Yes, we have realized that. Which is why the move to the B1G is a good move. Those USC/UCLA night home games will be no later than 5 pm PT/8 pm ET. The B1G will not schedule 10:30 pm ET games for their Midwest and East Coast audiences. Thus, USC and UCLA benefit.
On the flipside, get ready for 9 am PT USC at Purdue.

Oh youz guyz are so going to enjoy 2024. Bad refs, bad weather, bad start times. Perfect. Three things to complain about.
Ever notice how other college teams seldom complain?
As Walton said, couldn’t make it in L.A? Move to the Midwest to solve your financials.

That coming from the Cal hippie trumplican who’s team relies on state and federal socialism to stay afloat.

Well at least SFB, Cal does not pretend to be a farm team for the bigs. BTW, tebonemeplease, check nfl salary contracts. About twice as much as any other PAC team.

ESPN and Commish are doing us no favor by making it where nobody on the east coast will stay up to watch the game. Plus it will be a big opportunity for Caleb n DTR to show Heisman voters they are worthy of National primetime game. Well I’m sure they are giving the SEC the primetime slot because they just don’t care about PAC 12 football can’t wait until we leave this sorry ass hater conference.

So far, I like what LR is doing. But, whatever needs done, the defense still needs fixing. But we are SC and we have a top notch coach so there is no reason the defense can’t be fixed. When I look at what is going on in Mario Cristobals first year at Miami, I can’t complain about LR. I always said that Cristobal was a great car saleman but not a great coach. I wish he would have stayed at Oregon. But they probably would have fired him sooner or later. Grench is really starting to get criticsm. I’ve been watching some of the you tube programs. I have to believe that LR is taking notice. He said at the start of the year that he didn’t want the team to be thinking about a NC. He wanted to concentrate about getting better every game. His main focus was in week to week improvement. That defense was better in the first half of the season. It has gotten worse in the latter half of the season. They are (week to week) getting worse. LR must be concerned.

The SC defense was not a talking point early in the season with the unit allowing 14, 28, 17, 14, 25 and 14 points before giving up 43 to Utah coupled with injuries to key players, and then 37 to Arizona and 35 to Cal
sucla has had games where they surrendered 31, 32, 32, 45 and 36 points, so both SC and sucla do not have Georgia-type defensive players, thus a 1990 Marinovich type game is expected with both squads probably scoring in the 30s or more
