Galen Center Follies

Inside the Galen Center is the Founders Room, where boosters gather before games and at halftime to eat pricey food or drink alcohol and rub shoulders with Mike Bohn.

During Saturday’s game vs. Utah, the roof was leaking and rain was falling right on to the dining tables while boosters tried to eat. Meanwhile, all the TV’s were showing TMZ, apparently oblivious to other college basketball or NFL games. The USC game wasn’t even shown on the TV’s even though they a stone’s throw from the court.

The leaky roof comes two years after USC made a big deal about installing 1,500 solar panels atop the Galen Center, covering 50,000 square feet. It is the largest solar project at USC.

  1. USC beats Utah, 71-56 in that game. USC 13-5, big game versus the ‘Cats on Thursday.
Prayers out to Vincent, USC’s top recruit this year, coming back from major heart issues this past summer and beginning to play.

    1. Here’s the crazy part, Joe’s winning the war without a single boot on the ground or pilot in the sky….Brilliant!…..The joke is on you….. too old and senile to comprehend

    1. Joe claims to have been a big rig driver, a coal miner, appointed to the naval academy, attended law school on a full scholarship, graduated in the top half of his class, named the outstanding poli-sci major in his class and graduated with three degrees. None of which are true.

And let’s not forget what might be his best lie…being arrested in South Africa, while attempting to see Mandela!

      You’ll be fine, George.

      1. Inner Gabby: I hope no one notices that when I have no response (most of the time), I resort to “EAT SLEEP SHIT BIDEN”. I mean what else can I do? I know So Cal is correct, and has me turning like a top, and I realize that I am such an idiot for voting for Slo Joe, but what else can I do? I mean I got nuttin’, that’s right, I got nuttin’

FYI, Kyle Ford takes his game to UCLA. OUCH!

Before the pig stye Polly povilion was worked on, it was a dump. After they put $50 mil into it, it is still a dump. Polly povillion is used as a swimming pool after the seasons.

      1. Gabs I don’t understand – last year he dropped what 4 games late because of foolish 4th down attempts this year he plays his best receiver in a meaningless game….player gets injured and then can’t play meanwhile Staley refuses post-game to state the obvious. It was not just a bad move rather it was why people don’t see him as any kind of a head coach to use one of the most gifted QBs in the NFL.

Season’ over because his OC chose to keep passing and going 3 and out and he (Staley) the defensive expert failed to stop JAX repeatedly on 4 drives leading to an epic collapse. This looked even worse then USC’s loss to Tulane…..Staley et. al., did nothing in preparing for the 2nd half.

  3. If Mike Bohn is okay with the Galen Center becoming the West coast version of the old Boston Garden, then USC deserves all the ridicule that will occur when the Olympics are here and no one wants to use that arena so USC loses out on some serious cashflow.

      1. Dementia Joe has long campaigned against “deadbeat Dads” but when a reporter asked about Hunter’s refusal to pay child support, Joe snapped at him and refused to answer the question on what he says is a “personal matter.”

I’m sure other dads consider their situations personal, too, but classless Joe feels it appropriate to condemn THEM. They’re complete hypocrites, as we see from their biggest cheerleader here.

I’m sure other Depend users consider their situations personal, too, but classless slo troll feels it’s appropriate to condemn anyone who speaks out about urinary incontinence. He’s a complete idiot. As many on the blog can attest to.

Bladder control issues can be embarrassing and cause people to avoid their normal activities. Like lying about attending USC football games.

      4. According to slo troll, Joe has dementia. With that said, a cognitive lapse would explain Joe’s mix-up. I see zero criminal intent.

In the words of the guy slo troll voted twice for: “It’s nothing but a total witch hunt”

Plus, the OLC has affirmed no sitting President can be indicted. That’s too bad, Mueller had trump dead to right on obstruction charges….

Biden is in serious legal trouble —IF any of the classified records were removed by him when he left office as vice president. The federal statutes in such cases are Strict Liability —no intent is required. Joe can’t spin it.
Time to take all your considerable shrewdness and put it to work behind ‘some other candidate.’ All former Biden supporters need to get behind someone we can call ‘somebody else.’

      12. Virtually all of us know intent is not necessary in this case. But of course the one who claims above that rules of engagement have ANYTHING to do with what I posted would mention intent. Clueless, as usual.

      13. Slo troll, I have a question for you. In your opinion, why wait for Biden to take office to invade Ukraine? Any half-wit, like yourself, should realize Putin made a wrong choice. As a senile old man, I knew you wouldn’t comprehend.

Let me explain it to you in the “version for dummies”. We all know trump had no balls when protecting American interests against Russia. Trump never would have approved military or humanitarian aid for Ukraine. Nor would he have rallied world leaders to impose economic sanctions on Russia.

On the other hand, the man you despise has accomplished the opposite. Biden is indirectly winning the battle and saving countless lives. While Putin and his military are being defeated physically and mentally.

Since you lack the skills to debate yourself out of a paper bag. I am not counting on a plausible response to my question. Once again, clueless as usual!

Jayden Rashada wrote to Florida “I told you I loved Florida’s football team when I signed my letter of intent —that love was conditioned, however, on my 15 million dollar NIL deal — since that exact amount of money doesn’t seem to be forthcoming I with to immediately withdraw my love —-and take it somewhere where they have 15 million dollars….”…..

      1. The monetary max value was reportedly well beyond the means of the collective’s financial ability. The deal then soon reportedly crumbled.

The old bait-and-switch tactic. Could this type of behavior lead to lawsuits, and open a can of worms?

        Liked by 1 person

      2. More than a can of worms, Gabby — it’s actually criminal. “Theft of services by false pretenses” is not just an unpleasant thing to do —it’s a crime. If the collective got Rashada to do what he otherwise wouldn’t have done by means of a representation that was made with knowledge of its falsity OR with reckless disregard for whether it was true or not—-and he relied on that representation to his detriment —-his reps could trot over to the district attorney’s office in the jurisdiction within which the representation was made & ask for a filing. If D. A. investigators found there was NEVER any reasonable possibility of an NIL deal worth 15 million —-well, let’s just say it wouldn’t be pretty.

  5. I know nothing about the Rashada deal-or-not
But if 15-Million Bucks was being throwing about
I would say the time for governing, restricting somewhat
the NIL situations has arrived (as of ‘yesterday and before)’
