USC Has A Killer Schedule In 2024

The Big Ten announced their conference schedules for the next 2 years and the first thought is 2024 is going to be a rough schedule.

The home games: Illinois, Iowa Michigan, Wisconsin.

The road games: Road: Maryland, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue, UCLA.

Don’t forget USC also plays LSU and Notre Dame in 2024. And without Caleb Williams.

Lincoln Riley better win in 2023 with that schedule looming.

Now for 2025.

Home: Indiana, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, UCLA.

Road: Minnesota, Ohio State, Rutgers, Wisconsin.

REACTION: There are some travel nightmares with the trips to Maryland and Penn State in 2024. And Rutgers in 2025. Actually, going someplace like Minnesota would have been considered a major trip before USC joined the Big Ten.

On the plus side, when is the last time you got excited seeing a conference scheduled unveiled? And when was the last time everyone could watch it on cable?

    3. Wrong. I’m not saying that Riley’s teams will be the best on the line of scrimmage, but they will be good enough to even win a national championship. Offense is what all the top teams must excel at and Riley will have a high quality offensive line that they build over a couple of seasons. They will start to build the depth and build players from high school into NFL players, but it takes time and they have to start with players that have the right frame and mental discipline.

      QB next year is a real issue, but it is with every team. I have no doubt either Riley will develop Malachi or will have a QB competition next year.

      USC is one of 7 teams that is being built to be able to win the CFP. Georgia is still ahead of the rest.
