Mater Dei QB Elijah Brown committed to Stanford today. His other finalist was UCLA.
Brown is 29-1 at Mater Dei. It’s a pretty nice pickup for new Stanford coach Troy Taylor, especially with the Cardinal coming off a 3-9 season.

LR is without a doubt the coach one would gravitate to if your a hs qb looking to make it to the next levels ( college / pros) or at least run for the heisman. A drawback is those on the pretty good to great level aren’t necessarily keen on competing with the players on the great to superstar level. Truth be told, the SEC qbs are functional, but can rely on a hard hitting robust defense and brutal running game to fall back on. LR hasn’t come around to the defensive part yet.
