Offensive center Jason Zandamela of Clearwater, Fla., committed to USC today. He also considered Florida State and Oklahoma.
Zandamela is from Mozambique. USC now has 12 commitments for the Class of 2024.
- Wide receiver Ryan Pellum of Millikan High School in Long Beach is going to make his college announcement on Monday at 2 p.m. PT. He is down to USC and Oregon but the Trojans are the clear favorites.

Hunter is going to avoid 10 years on his gun charge via a plea deal. Hunter also avoiding his income tax evasion charges. This will lay the groundwork for Joe Biden not being charged with receiving bribes.

David Weiss, was appointed by Donald Trump and took the case from Bill Barr to prosecute. Trump Administration has won a case against Joe Biden without Biden removing the U. S. Attorney, unlike Trump. Trump moved every U. S. Attorney regardless of the case they were working on. Plus, anything worse would have generated a pardon from Biden for his son. It’s better than what Trump would do under similar circumstances.

Zandamela was heavily recruited by both Fla St and OK…Fla St was a heavy favorite until his visit to SC; he is a high 4 star ranked 6’3 290lb lineman…a top 100 athlete.

Scott harps on how USC has no good O line commits for months. Then USC scores a 4 star (2nd best Center in the country per rivals!) and he gives it two little paragraphs, without any commentary on how USC finally got what he’d been asking for. Typical.

There is such a difference in recruiting this year. The only 3 stars Riley is taking have real upside. One of the 3 stars has elite level speed and great tape and just needs to put on weight. He had offers from many of the bigs. Another 3 star is a bruiser running back who will match well with Tatum. There is only one 3 star that seems like a real project.
When you look at star ratings and who is left on the board, it looks like SC is headed to a top 5 program. Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama and maybe one or two other programs could beat out SC once the dust settles.
All Riley needs is to fix that defense and make the CFP and they will pick the players they want in the future.

Hopefully, the coaches can pull at least two decent interior defensive linemen who are already at 300+ lbs. Otherwise, it’s going to get sad next year with Alex Grinch “small DT” philosophy in the B1G.
