USC Gets 13th Commitment Of June

Four-star cornerback Braylon Conley of Humble, Texas, committed to USC tonight. He chose USC over Arkansas, Utah and Texas.

Conley is the 13th commitment for June and USC is now ranked 10th by Rivals for the Class of 2024 recruiting class. USC now has three four-star recruits from Texas (Conley, offensive lineman Makai Saina and tailback Bryan Jackson).

  1. It is obvious Wolf puts more credence in the star ratings than his own personal judgement. Fortunately the head coach, LR, seems to trust his own judgement more than just the number of stars. So far he has been pretty right on. I will always go with LR and sit back and laugh at the Wolf.

  2. It bears repeating – I think the secondary will be much better because of a much improved front seven. No more quarterbacks having so much time to make their reads.

  3. I think USC has a good chance of going 11-1 or at least 10-2 going into the PAC 12 championship. If they win the championship, they will likely go into the CFP. If that happens, it will be the second coming of the Pete Carrol era and recruiting will take off.

I think Texas and Texas A&M may tank. I also think Oregon,
Oklahoma and Miami will tank. Georgia will be good but underachieve. If this happens, and I think there is a realistic chance it will, we will have a historic recruiting and transfer class. We will dominate for the next 6 to 8 years.

    1. Good post ‘equus arare’! TX has all their eggs in Sarkisian’s basket. TX’s 2nd game is @ AL were TX to win that game who knows and if they do then that’s a real head knocker for Saban and the Tide. Sarkisian can recruit – always could – and kudos for him dropping the alcohol but he has a very serious demeanor. A lot is hanging on the Manning kid. As for TX A&M – they have had ranked top tier recruiting classes but can’t seem to get out of their own way. I concur about OK and OR. Venables has to prove he can win with what he’s recruited – Riley did. Lanning has a 6 yr deal with OR but based on how he ‘closed’ games not very impressive. The Ducks have an easy ride until 14th Oct @ WA and 28th Oct @ UT. Save for their home game against USC on 11th Nov. OR has a very winnable schedule but I doubt Manning will deliver.
Cristobal is in his 2nd year @ Miami – he was great for OR – the Canes have a very nice schedule save for TX A&M on 9th Sep but it’s a home game and Fisher had a horrible year last year for the Aggies.

      1. I agree rosoviet with your point on TX TAM, OR OK . I believe Sark will use a 2 QB system to apease Manning if he doesn’t beat out Evers in fall camp. Manning didn’t go there to sit on the bench. Plus they are going to lose to Bama in a close due to breaking in a new QB. It’s the same story each year ranking are based on returning stars and recruiting classes. The main suspects will always start out in the top 10, based on history, media fan boys and coaching. Everyone calm down commitments are exciting and it gives us constant dialogue to go back in forth. Remember the last time USC started recruiting nationally like no other, we dominated plucking 1 players from multiple regions. If LR is really serious he will not miss out on building the trenches on both sides of the ball and using special playmakers in the secondary that will remind you of Lott, Smith straight ballers just my humble opinion. We are recruiting a lot on the corners n safety position. In two years that unit will probably be the best unit on defense If If they are coached on detail, discipline and understanding what it takes to compete every day to reach their desired team goal.

      2. Yeah Commie Lush, like LR’s last 2, 2022 games weren’t remarkably choka, choka, choka, choka foul. I mean LR couldn’t even order his hurt QB to leave the game because it might squash “the Glory Hog,” CW’s H/T chances. BFD!!!!

So the team takes a stake up the kazoo. bozo FB, what f**king pig iron plated, joka, joka, joka, joka JOKE.

#2023 bozo FB: stumble to and 8 – 4 record, but somehow they garner an invitation to the “Piss Ant,” CG, Div. III, Bowl/Tractor Pull extravaganza.

  4. If football talk were a stew that was a lot of cooks in the kitchen
Each throwing in the pot a morsel of meat and vegetables to their own taste
    Although over-salted by J.O.
However, the test is in the taste so I will let you know
