But it’s a quiet part of the year so it gets picked up. The media selected the team and five USC players made the first team: QB Caleb Williams, WR Dorian Singer, DB Calen Bullock, P Eddie Czaplicki and AP/ST Raleek Brown.
So two of the five first-teamers are special teams.
Five players made the second team: OL Justin Dedich, Jonah Monheim, Jarrett Kingston LB Mason Cobb and Eric Gentry.

- USC will play Utah State in 2024 instead of San Jose State, according to FBSchedules.com.
The game will be played Sept. 7, 2024 at the Coliseum. USC will pay the Aggies $1.45 million for the game. USC agreed to pay San Jose State $1.65 million. It will be interesting to see if USC adds San Jose State to a future schedule or pays them a fee to cancel the game.

Off the top of my head, I think we only punted 7 times all last season.

Not only that but the guy we had last year(who was only a junior last year) averaged 40.3 yards per punt. Let’s say that this new guys averaged 46 yards per punt last year. At 7 punts last year that means if he had been our punter, that would only have given USC 42 more yards in the whole season(6×7). Is it really worth giving up a scholarship for 42 yards? I would say no.
