Colorado coach Deion Sanders will not attend Pac-12 media day on Friday in Las Vegas because he is having surgery on Thursday. Defensive coordinator Charles Kelly will attend media day in place of Sanders.
- Stanford President Marc Tessier-Lavigne will resign effective August 31 according to communications released by the University on Wednesday morning. He will also retract or issue lengthy corrections to five widely cited papers for which he was principal author after a Stanford-sponsored investigation found “manipulation of research data.”
Tessier-Lavigner is also a member of the Pac-12 Executive Committee.
- The USC law school has appointed Franita Tolson as its new dean. She is the first African-American to ever hold the position and first woman in more than four decades.

I question how good Colorado will be this year. We don’t know for sure if Sanders will be able to bring his small college success to the big time. But even if he is that good of a coach it looks like his health is going to be a problem. Hopefully, he’ll get everything taken care of.

I thought law school is where you learned to do things like prepare a contract; prepare a civil complaint; respond to a civil complaint; prepare a motion for demurrer; initiate a discovery plan including interrogatories, subpoenas, requests for production of documents, take depositions; prepare a motion for summary judgment; respond to an MSJ; learn how to voire dire a jury; make an opening statement; perform a direct and cross examination of witnesses; and a closing argument.
No. Its really about social justice and equity. Teach them that the constitution was written by slave owning, privileged white man and that the country is inherently racist and evil.
