Oregon coach Dan Lanning was asked at the Ducks’ media day what he thought of Colorado leaving the Pac-12?
“Not a big reaction. I’m trying to remember what they won to affect this conference and I don’t remember. Do you remember them winning anything? I don’t remember them winning anything.”
- There are multiple reports the Pac-12 will present media-rights deal numbers to its members tomorrow. We’ll see.
- Caleb Williams is on the watch list for the Maxwell Award. Shocking, since he won the award last season.
At first I thought the ‘shot” by Oregon was about Colorado leaving
No, leave it up to Oregon to bully the Buffs on their way out
By the way Oregon coach, Colorado won a football national title
How many do the Ducks have?

Lanning is the perfect jerk for the most offensive team in the country.
No way USC and the other Big 10 schools want the stench of filthy Nike money in their conference.

Nobody except maybe the Big 12 and maybe the ACC is interested in Oregon. They will never get the votes to go B1G’

11 out of 16 Big 10 schools are sponsored by Nike or the Jordan (2) brand.

What I have heard is it is $200 million deal with Apple. Every game will be streaming. That comes to 20 million per team.

UCLA Among the Best in College Sports, Per CBS
UCLA has come in at No. 2 in the CBS Best in College Sports rankings for the 2022-2023 season…
Mike Regalado
UCLA has come in at No. 2 in the Best in College Sports rankings from CBS for the 2022-23 athletic season, ranking just behind Tennessee.
The Best in College Sports rankings are based on the success of football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and “wild card” (Olympic sports) program results. Not only are national championships taken into consideration in these rankings, but also how deep a program gets in its respective playoffs.
For the explanation on point distribution and a look at the full rankings, GO HERE.
UCLA had a case to be No. 1, but Tennessee’s 11-2 football season weighed heavily on its final results compared to UCLA’s 9-4 season. In men’s and women’s basketball, UCLA and Tennessee were deadlocked in the CBS system, though the wild card sports (results of Olympic sports) heavily favored the Bruins.
The final overall scores between the two, according to the CBS system, were 536.75 for Tennessee and 524.50 for UCLA.
The interesting thing in these rankings is that Tennessee did not win a national championship in the last athletic calendar, though many of its programs went deep into the playoffs.
On the other side, UCLA women’s soccer and men’s volleyball won the school’s 120th and 121st national championship, keeping the school in 2nd in the all-time NCAA championship race. Tennessee has 16 overall championships, so the Volunteers are just 105 away from being tied with the Bruins all time.
Here is where the top five Pac-12 schools finished: UCLA – 2nd, Washington – 22nd, Oregon – 25th, USC – 30th, Oregon State – 42nd.
Here is the top five overall: Tennessee – 1st, UCLA 2nd, Alabama – 3rd, Texas – 4th, TCU – 5th.

All of that may be true, what’s more important is your rapidly declining existence of your sanity. You may need to hire someone to assist you to make it to a hospice.

Owns: What a meaningless ranking. How many people on this blog or anywhere else are even remotely interested in women’s soccer or whatever is meant by Olympic sports – a fairly broad category. Admit it Owns this is the equivalent of a little league participation trophy. You wouldn’t have bothered posting it if one or the other two things had happened.
1. Gonzaga misses the shot at the buzzer and UCLA wins in overtime.
2. Korey Foreman drops the interception pass and UCLA scores a touchdown.
Neither occurred, ding, ding.

Dammit Plow Doggie, you’re right, this CBS thing is a somewhat meaningless Univ. sports rating, except for two (2) reasons: 1) Clown U is rated #32 (in a meaningless rating…LFOL and 2) If Clown U were rated #2 like UCLA, you would be jumping up and down like a horny alpha bonobo (i.e. pygmy chimp) at a F. Bonobo slumber party.
