USC’s 6 a.m. practices the next two days have been moved to the afternoon.
The good part: Players get to sleep. The bad part: It will be a lot hotter.
- As the Pac-12 implodes, here is another thing to second guess: Since 2013, USC and Oregon have played each other just four times. The two best-known programs. The marquee teams. The showcase game of all games for the conference.
Four games in 10 years. And one of those games was the Pac-12 title game in 2020.
They will probably play more often in the Big Ten.
- It’s too bad Coach Bohn is in a witness protection program. We would like to hear what he thinks about his original vision on the verge of blowing up, where USC leaves Oregon behind for Big Ten riches.
USC (and UCLA) can still vote against adding Oregon and Washington, but if the Big Ten is seriously studying it, it’s probably already been decided to add those two teams.

Very valid point. UW computer science has also zoomed into the class of Cal/Stanford/USC/UCLA/UWM/Illinois so I could see them being pursued. Oregon doesn’t even have an Engineering school so I see them being left out in the cold – they just don’t fit the acacdemic profile.

I hate Oregon and would love to see them in the Mt. West. If they make it to the B1G they will become an even bigger pain in the ass. Unless USC starts to pay high school recruits when recruiting they will not keep up with Oregon who pays everyone a bag of cash just to commit. The alternative is if paying before playing is outlawed. But then that has always been the case so what the heck.

Congress/NCAA needs to come up with some policies to regulate the NIL money grab. First and foremost, it must have a capped dollar amount. Similar to salary caps in professional sports. Right now, this NIL fiasco looks like legalized corruption.

Why the heck would USC or UCLA vote against more weat coast schools being added to the big 10? That’s what we need – reduce the travel, keep some regional rivalries, especially if the Bay Area schools come. Plus make it a bit more difficult for current Big 10 teams to fly west more often and not just get an LA vacation.

The Big-10 tv deal has been done so I don’t know if it would be amended or a new deal struck with the admission of more teams
i.e. 18 or 20 teams divvying up the same amount of tv money as 16
And what is with this ‘$100-million for each Big-10 school, I keep seeing $60 million as the true figure. If true, then it makes it even more suspect why SC did not fight for a larger share of
