If you noticed of the starting 10, 2 ladies were barley singing the anthem and 1 of the reserves. 1 coach was barley singing. So 8 of 10 starters felt the need not to sing. All 10 Swedes and all reserves and coaches sang strong and proud at the top of their lungs. This WNT has so many issues and agendas (look at their actual pay complaint vs the men’s) pay and their actual structure before they complained was better than the men’s. The men got a little more money and zero benefits and the ladies had a lavish benefits package and insurance and guaranteed money. Their whole complaint was base pay and that was what they wanted and agreed to when they negotiated previously Any time anyone brought up bennies they would change the subject. Their deal was monetarily better than the guys and they played less games and against easier competition. Now they have a cherry contract even better than before (and not packing stadiums) and they need to find something else to complain about. Not focused on playing cohesive soccer just living off a legacy. Play for the national team is not a right it is a privilege. And from someone who has, and didn’t get a dime for it, I would pay to do it again. Such an awesome experience representing your country.

CR that’s pretty good quadrants but they will never do that. What they will probably do is break it up to,( 3) 6 team divisions made up of : Big West, Big, MidWest, East. Big West : USC UCLA, Washington, Oregon, Nebraska, Northwestern Big MidWest: Ohio State, Michigan, Iwoa Wisconsin, Michigan St Purdue. Big East: Penn State, Rutgers, Maryland, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana. They could use something like this but I would like to see more USC playing Ohio St, Michigan every other year as well as Penn St Michgan St the same and less of Rutgers Illinois, Indiana and the bottom teams the networks don’t want to show on prime time. I’m sure the Big will have a stream partner to accommodate Oregon n Washington which will need to be at least 60 million for them to receive 30 million per reports? It must have at partner because if you do the math no team will get 65 million without it. Peacock Amazon Apple will be streaming partners for expansion teams going forward?

Eric: Your suggestion would be entertaining but you need some patsies on the schedule. We need to play two or three games against Rutgers, Illinois, Purdue, Minnesota, Indiana, Maryland, and Northwestern. We can then play two or three against Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Penn State along with our four games against Oregon, Washington, ND and UCLA. Anyway you slice it, a tough schedule.

Ala, OSU, y, bcuz they’ve been there n they will have played in 2 of the toughest conferences. We grew up putting our hands over our heart for the Pledge of Allegiance. But the practice of doing it for the anthem is something I’ve only seen for for the past 10-20 years. Virtue signaling at its best. But it is a shame they don’t sing it.
I am not that concerned about professional athletes not participating. But when you choose to play for the national team, you should show more respect.

In my opinion on expansion n realignment just put all the teams who don’t move the tv rating needle in a league of independents who will never make the 12 team CFP anyway. No one wants to watch those games anymore so just put those games on the MW network formally known as PAC 12 Network.

One of the things that stood out in the interview with Mason is that when asked who has impressed him the most on the d-line he said Ray Lucas and Solomon Byrd. I was hoping he would say Kyon Barrs or Bear Alexander but presumably he is facing the edge rusher and limited the response to that position. We need a difference maker at edge. I don’t see Solomon as that player. Hoping that Jamil, Romello or one of the three freshman step up. We will not have a solid defense without solid production from that position.

it helps the coaches that our first 6 games will be pretty easy this year. they can use fall camp for alot of experimentation and competition and dont need the team to be completely gelled at the start of the season. they are probably looking at Notre Dame as the “real” start of the season, the first six games are like advanced practices.
next year with LSU is going to be much different.
