A reader asked me why Caleb Williams was not at his bobblehead night at Dodger Stadium?
USC is right in the middle of training camp. If the team is not practicing, there are also plenty of meetings and other things going on. So it really wasn’t realistic to think he would attend.
If the Dodgers really cared, they should have done the bobblehead night in July when he threw out the first pitch at a game.
- An update on Gerald Washington. He lost an unanimous decision to Derek Chisora in London, 98-93, 97-94 and 96-94. However, a BBC analyst termed it a “controversial decision.”

Bizarro World claimed that no one ever votes based on the VP and for the most part I’d agree. But if people vote for Biden next year without considering it, it’ll just confirm how stupid they were in 2020.

I predict that there will be a lot of buyers remorse the next few years. Nobody forced Fucla to separate.

It may be saved. If the Pac 4 gets to 10 teams by 2025 then adding Memphis, Air Force, Boise St and Notre Dame could make a $40 million (by average school payout) just may happen. That nutty, subscription model would work with the Irish in the mix. Plus, following Stewart Mandell’s reporting, Notre Dame would still have USC to go with Oregon St and San Diego St to stay viable in the CFP. Oliver luck could bring the Irish into the Pac 14.

Timing for the bobble head was perfect. Mid-camp to generate excitement for USC football. There’s not that many meetings that can’t be missed by Caleb. The real meetings will be a week from Monday. Film of their first two opponents will be useless Stanford will be week 3 after they play Hawaii so film might be available. I’m not worried about Caleb missing a meeting to appear at a baseball game.

Yeah ’86, UCLA should have ignored the Big18 offer of a full share payout with the 2024 FB season which is perhaps 2 to 4x better than the Pac-12’s pay out; and instead, stand on a Berkeley St. corner like Kal, with your thump up your ass, hoping you Lead Bear losers don’t wind up in a Div. 3 Conf. that pays out a stupendous $500,000 per year team media share.
I will be surprised “86, if the B-18 doesn’t just absorb Stanford and Kal Jr. for say a 50 percentage media shares for the first 10 years in the Conf.
Kal would land on a B-18 50% offer, like hungry flies on shit.
