USC Sweeps Euro Tour With Interesting Doubleheader

USC went 3-0 on its European basktball tour with a 96-87 victory over KK SC Derby in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

These tours are more for team bonding than anything else. You say Isaiah Collier is really good? What did you expect from the No. 1 player in the nation?

NBA TV didn’t spend much on the production and didn’t even send the announcers to the games but also wouldn’t have televised the games if it knew Bronny James wasn’t going on the trip.

  • More importantly, why didn’t anyone say Caitlin Clark (the best player in women’s basketball) and Iowa played a doubleheader with USC today? That’s news. She should have played in the USC game too. I wonder if Andy Enfield knows who she is?

  • Unlike USC, Iowa posted box scores from the games. Think about that? Iowa knows how it get it done.
  • It was so hot in the gym, Iowa went outside for halftime. Like a club game.
  • Collier is going to make Enfield look like a good coach.

    1. Next question: Would you pass up on the snowball thing altogether if we could have Alex Grinch get up at Salute to Troy and scream out, “Fight the Fuck On!” ??

  1. Wolf, please lighten up.

It is sad that you have so much negativity in your veins.

Life is way too short to hold a grudge.

Just ask our friends in Maui about being greatful.

We have one of the best recruits in mens/womens basketball and the reining Heisman winner.

    Enjoy this rarified air.

This is a once in a lifetime.

    1. USC is 11-9 in the last 20 meetings with the gutties. Isn’t it interesting how it is so much harder for the gutties to win without organized crime $$$?

      1. Knight didn’t like Wooden because Wooden won 10 NC’s and Knight only won 3. Knight actually turned against his own protege Mike K because he won 2 more than Bobby K and for a long time they didn’t talk.

        ~USCtrojans.com

Last 20 games BFD…BTW ’24 UCLA never, never, never lost an Elite Eight, NCAA Tournament game by 19 f**king points.

If Andyain’twinning expects to manufacture a winning season (i.e. like a .500 W/PCT.) he won’t do it watchin’ Isaiah glory hog launching near half court prayers. This Isaiah reminds of Kooper “the Adams Apple” Bryant .

Let not forget Kooper, the Glory Hog never lead/captained a Laker team into the playoffs/WC by his lonesome. No Shaq, no Pau, no Horry, no M. World Peace, no NBA CS’s.

Can’t wait for the BB season start; so I can watch Andyain’twinning trip, stumble and fail miserably.

      4. trojan67(whose views I respect) said that SC’s record against the Bruins is 11-9 in the last 20 games. That is probably true. But my statement had nothing to do with the last 20 games. I’m talking about this season. I’m just predicting that SC will lose at least twice to them this year.
As far as Bobby Knight is concerned….he was a bully. Most of the people who actually had to work with him(whether it be secretaries or whatever) hated him. He abused people. One time after they had lost a games he stuck his hand in the toilet and pulled out a handful of s**t and went back into the locker room and threw it on the ground and said to his players, “this is how you played tonight”.
MG(whose views I also respect) said about Knight “#CoachKnightWasMore ”Man”. If that it means to be a man then maybe we should all become “trans”. I have a better word for Knight than “man”. Let’s just use the word “jerk”.

      5. Who is “the Big Redhead” who said “I don’t respect Wooden, because he allowed Sam Gilbert to do whatever it took to recruit”? If we’re talking about Bill Walton, you’re going to have to show me where he said that. Bill Walton worshipped John Wooden.

      6. Parcelman, making two posts since Scottie’s moderator monkey won’t permit two internet links in the same post:

        The big redhead = walton.

        https://www.esquire.com/sports/a5694/college-basketball-history-2009/

Knight indicated that he thought highly of Wooden as a coach, but he lost respect for him because Wooden allowed Gilbert unfettered access to the team.

Walton lost a bit of his fondness for ucla later in life when he realized that his physical disabilities were related to the bruins rushing him back on the court, rather than giving him time to heal. I recall he was contemplating having one of his legs amputated below the knee before having ankle fusion surgery.

      7. The article you send me says nothing about Walton saying that about Wooden. I watch Pac-12 network all the time. They use Walton all the time. When talking about Wooden, Walton always praises him. They interviewed Luke Walton one time and he said “I grew up hearing my dad talking about Woodens wisdom statements. My dad used to put them in picture frames and put them all over the walls in our house. For a while I almost hated Wooden because that’s all I ever heard growing up”.
I’m not even claiming that he was the greatest coach. Times have changed. What was possible then(winning 10 NC’s in 12 years) won’t happen in this day and age. But as a person. He was a great man.
His first year that he ever coached in college was at Indiana State in the late 40’s. They had a really good year and they made it to the NAIA tournament. He had one black player on the team. The NAIA told him that blacks were not allowed. He said “he’s part of our team….make an exception or I’m pulling my team”. They wouldn’t do it and he pulled the team. They next year, they made it again. They said the same thing. He told them the same thing. They gave in and decided to change the rules. They went to the championship game and lost by a point or two to Louisville.

      8. Parcelman, the first link cites Walton.

It sounds like you are unfamiliar with Sam Gilbert’s association with ucla basketball back in the day. If that is the case, you owe it to yourself to read about it. There is no shortage of material.

      9. I must have missed it. I didn’t see it but just because Esquire magazine says something means nothing. When you are as successful as Wooden was, you will have a lot of people who love you and a whole lot of people who hate you. It’s like Donald Trump. Do you believe everything that they say about him? But I really don’t believe Walton would ever say that about what he considered as his 2nd father. That’s probably why I would reject what the magazine said.
I know all about Sam Gilbert. What they say about Wooden and Gilbert is so out of touch with Woodens character that I have and always have had questions about it and probably always will.

      1. Bobby Knight was not in the same universe as Johnny Wooden as a person. He was a great coach. I’m not arguing that. But as a person he was an ego-maniac. Many( not all) of his own players couldn’t stand him. Certainly that would include Steve Alford and probably Isaiah Thomas. For years he didn’t talk to Mike K(the Duke coach).

  6. SC was missing the other Center. If he can make a big big leap USC has a final 4 appearance. Isaiah needs to keep practicing shooting 3’s at least 1000 a day. His mechanics are not smooth changes release point on every release. His game can’t consist of drives to the basket every play.
