USC practices are closed, which means actor Chace Crawford was allowed to go last weekend.
You have had priests from the Caruso Catholic Center turned down for admittance to practices. But they are not the brother-in-law of Tony Romo, like Crawford.
- Michael Tarquin has gone from starting at left tackle to now trying to fight off Mason Murphy for the right tackle job. He’ll probably still start but transferring has risks too. Ask Christian Roland-Wallace, who is now playing nickel back after being the go-to cornerback at Arizona.
- Wednesday was move-in day for USC incoming freshmen. Did anyone see Bronny James around campus?
- Oregon is also supposedly putting up a Bo Nix billboard in Dallas. I doubt they will put one up in Los Angeles like the Ducks did in 2002 of their wide receivers. The Hotel Figueroa was the site of the huge billboard, just 2.6 miles from USC.
This was the response of USC wide receivers Keary Colbert, Kareem Kelly and Mike Williams at Oregon as the Trojans won, 44-33.

I often wish we could have watched Mike Williams play as a Trojan for at least one more year.

Hey MG
You might want to enlighten your local brethren about this guy. Esp after he just hinted that maybe the .GOV might be interested in acquiring property from distressed landowners via eminent domain.
Green was born on February 11, 1970, in Kingston, New York to a (******) family.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Green_(politician)
Some dude from New Jersey who moves to Hawaii and plays this humble doctor schtick and somehow became governor. He used to do these little daily updates on a whiteboard for the Covidians, and that helped him gain popularity. That and the fact that the previous governor was so incredibly corrupt that Green was perceived as an honest regular guy–not a politician.

Cal 75 — I live here in Maui. I only have good things to say about Green. I liked it when he said Biden loves the people here SO, SO much! When he was asked for proof of Biden’s Love he astutely pointed out that Biden said “no comment” when asked about the death and destruction that occurred. “This might not seem like Love on the surface….but…remember: he was saying No Comment [about Maui]! See? His comment has to be seen in the proper context. He wasn’t just offering a free floating “No Comment” —it was “No Comment about MAUI.” We were on his mind –he just didn’t have time to say the “Maui” part out loud.”
Today we were given an update — “All dem leaders will show More Love for Maui very, very soon…. we just need a little more time to pass to help people get over the sting of losing the entire business & tourist section of the island. We also would like a little more time to cover our negligence. A week should do it.”

btw, you’re right about one thing: Green is a huge step UP from the last governor.

It is funny that virtue signalers cried about Bradley Cooper’s nose prosthetic in the Leonard Bernstein biopic, “Maestro”. Bernstein’s family said they have no problem with it, nor would their dad have.

When comparing the two, Cooper definitely has a more pronounced nose. I could see people viewing it as projecting a Jewish stereotype.

GT, agree. What I will be looking for is how the OL is playing n DL is playing. Both of these units will determine how much our whole team is improved over last year. I don’t want to see our 1at game 65-28 that would be unacceptable in my book. LR the first 6 games no one should score no more than 17 points, if we say who we are!!!!!!

Big Mike Williams was screwed over by the NCAA. Though he had a poor game at Manhattan, Kansas, he would go on to be by far the best receiver in college football. It’s a shame that the NCAA abuses the athletes by not allowing football players to adequately evaluate their professional prospects. Baseball players are drafted all the time straight from high school, and they are still eligible to play in college. Not football players – who can never ever play in college again if they “declare” for the draft. It’s difficult enough for football players who are risking serious injuries and the NCAA acts as a callous punisher for any “betrayal” by a player who wants to see what kind of living – if any – he can make. It’s because the NCAA knows that football players are the most valuable people to them in the world and yet they constantly put the players’ interests after their own greed

Yes & no. Players shouldn’t be punished for simply “declaring” for the draft.
On the other hand, Pete Carroll warned several players [including Mike Williams] about leaving early for the NFL….. cuz they weren’t ready [I’m thinking of Sanchez and LenDale White in particular]….

The O-line must be shaping up if Tarquin is not an obvious starter. He started at RT at Florida last year, he gave up 0 sacks, and was considered one of the better SEC tackles.

So is it a risk to transfer to USC and change positions? The player from Arizona was most likely told he’d be playing a different position, before he came to USC.
I often say that college is supposed to prepare students for their chosen career. In this case the transfers are being prepared for the NFL where no position is guaranteed. It’s probably true the go-to corner at Arizona was a better fit (after being assessed) at the nickel position. A strong open field tackler is a good fit for both positions. Other than maybe liking his job as cornerback, what did he lose versus gaining the USC logo on his resume?

I just thought a wise idea to redact that from the quote. But you can interpret it any way you see fit. The jest of the quote was Gov was suggesting government could gain possession of the land through eminent domain. You might center your thoughts on that motive.

Roland-Wallace played multiple positions last year for Arizona’s defense as evidenced by his play charts by Pro Football Focus. He’s comfortable with moving around. As I said the other day, he’ll probably move to safety if he plays in the NFL next year.
The competition is good because the depth will be tested but prepared as opposed to players being put in to play out of emergency with no poor practice repetition, a big issue that some of the players showed last season.
Finally, I have the obligation of speaking with the candidates who wish to replace D. A. Gascon tomorrow in Downtown L. A.
