Quite a few Trojan Athletic Fund donors have complained to me about this latest plea for money from the athletic dept., dubbed the Trojan Victory Fund, especially with the Big Ten millions on the way.
Not to mention the $1 million for Jen Cohen’s buyout at Washington, plus Coach Bohn’s termination costs, consultant fees, search firm costs, etc.
There’s a note at the bottom of the fundraising plea: “All contributions to the Trojan Victory Fund are tax-deductible, not eligible to be used towards a TAF membership, and cannot be used for scholarship seating and/or parking requests.”
It’s always about the parking!

I just got off the phone with a great guy who helped me with all my computer stuff — former Hawaiian high school dual threat QB, btw. His wife taught middle school in Lahaina. They are leaving Maui and never coming back cuz she loved her kids so much she can’t bear to return to school and see which children are missing — the family lost their house and are moving in with relatives in Oregon…

Only Maui Prep open as the only school available. Not just high school but school, period in Maui. I don’t blame them. It’s hard for me to comprehend how anyone could deal with such loss let alone, children missing their classmates and friends. Definitely not comparable to a fire in one’s kitchen.

There are 6,800 foreign students from Communist China. That’s more than any other country. That’s a significant portion of the entire student body. It’s close to being more than all the other foreign countries combined. That’s a ridiculous number of people from one single country. That also displaces local kids who now will never have a chance to go to USC. There’s no guarantee that the communist students will stick around and be productive and supportive alumni. In fact it may be better that they don’t stay in the US to possibly spy for their communist masters.
Maybe they should pony up a few million bucks for the new Athletic Director’s ridiculous buy out

Agree Gunney: Folt needs to explain why 6800 communist Chinese on campus is good for the university. It clearly is not. Seems like these are the types of destructive policies that should be addressed by the Board of Trustees instead of deciding whether or not to rename a building.

Where there is smoke there’s usually fire. Itete, the O-Lineman from Modesto decommitted from SC and went to Florida State. But FSU has been going crazy lately in the recruiting market. They are now 5th and 6th in different rankings. I couldn’t help wondering why. What is it about FSU that is drawing everyone there? Watch this 11 minute video. If this is true then I can see why. But this can’t be legal. Why isn’t the NCAA doing anything about it? FSU is cheating like crazy.

If putting a lot of money each month into a recruits bank account even though he hasn’t done anything to earn it then if I was a recruit(especially a 5 star), I would just wait until the very last day(in February) to sign and, in the meantime, collect a fortune and then on the last day, I would sign with the school I really want to go to even if they haven’t given me any money
