Caleb Williams Watching Messi Tonight

Caleb Williams is among the notables attending the LAFC game tonight to see Lionel Messi play next to the Coliseum. It looks like he brought USC wide receiver Mario Williams with him.

Who is this “Leonard” DiCaprio fellow that is also at the game?

Caleb Williams was also at last weekend’s LAFC game, which did not feature Messi.

    1. Don’t ever forget to thank those worthless college presidents that sat back and let everything slide. Those are the fat cats who really out to be called out and sued. By who, I don’t know yet.

  1. Breaking News: Releek is Redshirting for the year. I called it a week ago. Hopefully he finds that he will be a major part of the team if he really wants to be. 50/50, he tranfer for now. Check out OC register for article. Other’s likely to RS Brown Lane Lemon, Peterson , Peevy, Greene, 3 OL take your pick, Crawford, Pierce, Nelson, 3 DL. Just my opinion thou

    1. Eric…Brown is as good as gone….he’s using the Gary Bryant playbook. The kid will never be a featured player at USC. He needs to be at a school that can benefit from his skillset and give him valuable playing time.

      1. Not so fast like Lee Carson said. Well his dad sounded like he still might tough it out. Either way just hope the best for the young man. Great take!

      2. When you look at the guys leaving after this season either to grad or nfl, Raleek may have a great shot at PT at USC. Perhaps that is the plan. Or perhaps he will take the money bag offered by Oregon.

    1. One thing for sure it’s that fat large ‘@$$’ Brizn Kelley inflicting said scourge on any one else but his self inflated ego…no depth on defense when it mattered most and that’s on him and his aversion to recruiting. Much as I loathe ‘the princess’ they are so much better off with him gone and Marcus Freeman as their head coach.

    2. Best halftime adjustments in recent memory. LSU looked like they had it in the bag going into second half.

      1. Mr Grinch designs new schemes during halftime, then expects the players to execute perfectly. Actually we already have the most over schemed defense in collge football. I watch LSU and Fl St and they occaisionally blitzed, but always had the outside covered and a spy on the Qb. Nothing to exotic.

  2. Florida State 45, LSU 24. Total yards Florida state 494 LSU 460 . What happened to the great sec defenses. I know you’re gonna tell me that wasn’t San Jose State or Nevada. But Florida State or LSU don’t have the offense that USC has. I never liked Daniels LSU ‘s quarterback, when he was at Arizona State he’s not gonna get any better.

    1. I think Lincoln decided a few years ago there isn’t any way of stopping today’s truly great offenses….so all he wants to do is have the best offense in the country…

      1. Georgia and Alabama have decent defenses, all they have to do is play someone who is good to get them tested. The cupcake schedules reign in the SEC.

  3. LSU down now how many SEC defenses will fall now? I knew there will be a lot more than a few, so now let’s see how many SEC defenses are the real truth? Bama or Georgia must show it’s worthy and shall show on the field for proof.

  4. Quick comparison Usc defense vs Oregon state defense both against Sjsu (usc at home Osu on the road)
passing yds vs usc 198 vs osu 223.
yards per pass vs usc 5.1 vs osu 5.2
rushing yards vs usc 198 vs osu 56
yards per rush vs usc 7.3 vs osu 2.5
total yards vs usc 396 vs osu 279
yard per play vs usc 6.1 vs osu 4.2
takeaways by usc 0 by osu 1
chunk plays given up by usc (r) 57,28,20,18,18 (p) 28,32,20,18
chunk plays given up by osu (r) 21,18 (p) 29,26,19
points given up by usc 28 by osu 17 (7 of which with 2 seconds left in garbage time)

osu totally shut down sjsu, every reception or incompletion was tightly contested. They lost most of their back 7 to graduation or pros from last year, yet they still know how to play man to man tight w/o holding or PI. They spied cordero but were never out of position and played base D the whole game and shut them down head up with inferior talent. OSU tackles well in space and in the wash. Its like watching a D1 defense as opposed to usc a high school defense yet the talent level is the opposite.

    1. Vault91 great analysis. Well the proof is made on the field and OSU has a better defense no doubt. We have the most efficient offense hand’s down. We must be progressing each and every game. We must establish our starter’s for the rest of the season and our 2nd line rotations. Must develop chemistry along both sides of the ball. Must pick 8 WR, and go with them. My 8 are Singer, Washington Williams Rice, Branch Robinson Hudson Jackson. Redshirting Lemon, Lane, Brown.

    2. I am purely looking at the defense in comparison. I realize our offense is good. Osu has good offense too maybe not as good or flashy. But my point is that we all wanted to know about this defense and that we didn’t know what SJSU or Nev were all a bout. The eye test from a talent stand point and from a schematic stand point and from a fundamental stand point look obvious to the partially trained eye. SC is superior talent wise, completely inferior schematically, and pretty inferior fundamentally. At this point

  5. Redshirting does not become an issue until we hit the 5th game of the season. Anyone getting PT in the previous 4 cannot participate again without losing the redshirt.

  6. USC has a tremendous speed advantage at the receiver position and also a height advantage. I wanted them to spread it out more with some 4 receiver sets. They did that in the Nevada game. Great corner route and TD to Branch and a nice fly pattern to Washington. Floyd also had a great catch down the middle of the field where he had to adjust his body to the ball. I don’t know how you stop these guys out of a spread formation. It was only taking them 3 to 4 plays to score on multiple series. Now I would like to see more quick slants and out routes with the ball being delivered in 2.5 to 3 seconds. Getting a bit greedy I suppose.
