USC athletic director Jen Cohen is expected to step down from the College Football Playoff selection committee to focus on her new job, according to Heather Dinich of ESPN.
This is the first USC athletic director I can remember not having time for something else (usually golf ) to focus on their actual job duties.
Coach Bohn didn’t play a lot of golf but no one knew what he was up to half the time.
On the other hand, Carol Folt and her spin doctors were quick to highlight Cohen being on the College Football Playoff selection committee when they hired her.
UPDATED: Utah athletic director Mark Harlan has replaced Cohen.
“We are pleased to have Mark join the committee. His vast knowledge and experience as a college administrator has him well prepared for this new role,” executive director Bill Hancock said. “While we are sorry Jennifer has had to step down from the committee, we certainly understand the exciting and challenging responsibilities she has with her new position at USC.”
