Great performance all around tonight. Glad I got to see the Defense in person cause they look solid! Bear Alexander and Solomon Bird are disruptors and will wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks all season long!

Listen up. I remember listening to Josh Pate discuss the transfer of Bear Alexander to USC when it was official and hearing him state that there are no other defensive lineman like him in the PAC 12 and that PAC 12 linemen will not be able to block him because they aren’t used to blocking against players like him. Barrs and Alexander destroyed Stanford’s blocking tonight. Stanley played like a monster as well. I can’t believe I’m typing this but this defense is getting better and will get better. Playing 2 safeties high and mixing between zone and man to man will make this defense hard to score against because they take advantage of offensive tackles or 6-man and 7-man protection schemes. Lucas is still losing his integrity when he rushes. Jackson still is slow to recognize routes but with Covington hurt, he has to play. The speed receivers are coming up. Only USC stops USC offense. Caleb has more control of audibles and with Klingsbury right there it’s an unfair advantage.

I did see the 1st qrtr, thanks to afternoon nap…read the final score this morning & it was a little surprising but only a little. The defense is really beginning to be a force just as the offense is .
BAMA -TEXAS game was something that did not surprise me…BAMA’s new q/b is in on the job training. Texas is one tough, ready to rumble team in the Big12. Expect BAMA to rebound.
