USC Sunday Buzz: Coliseum Needs To Settle Down

Fans have complained about the insufferably loud music being played USC games for the past couple years.

They are not talking about the band. They are talking about the music being piped in artificially or the DJ.

Well, things got so bad last night, the ref had to tell the Coliseum game management to turn off the music DURING the game.

Maybe new athletic director Jen Cohen can take control here. Under Coach Bohn and Mini-Me Sosna, the game experience became an artificially created atmosphere, not an organic fan-generated experience.

It’s embarrassing that this gets called out on a nationally televised game.

  1. Scott and I don’t always see things ‘eye to eye,”
More like “an eye for an eye”
But a ‘standing ovation’ to rid SC of the ‘Music-Man’

    2. SUCC, what a FB joke. Clown U wastes their best game on a Stanford team that the bozo 2nd string could delaminate.

And LR, what a petty, f**king loser!!! I mean whining over and forcing a cheesy TD review leading by 46 points, in the last 3 mins of a cupcake blowout.

I rather dine with the Stanford FB team , a 100 – 0 loser, then be in the presence of LR’s skinflint, OK swine farmer stench.

  2. It’s a natural spill over from the NBA with their ‘in game’ gangsta idiocy ‘rap’ excrement. Al Michaels complained last year on Thursday Night Football on Amazon while ‘trying’ to ‘listen’ at SOFI. Best be careful or ya’ all be called ‘raciska’.

The music that will conjure up tears in a teenage girl

  3. The way Wolfie changes topics as he quickly loses interest in them,
I would bet that if we were to sit down and try to have a conversation it would go something like this–
“Well, Scott, what do you think about the political landscape?
Scott– “I think it is high time the Christians and Jews got along better”

  4. 49-3 at the half. If they had tried, they could have broken 80. I don’t think any of Pete’s teams could have done that. Leinart was very good, but Caleb is playing an entirely different game.

  5. I’ve got no problem with DJ Moski other than the speakers should be spread around the stadium so the Thundering Herd don’t have to deal with hearing issues in their golden years (he could expand his playlist as well…)

  6. Everyone take a REAL long look at the face of the official in Scott’s video.
This is the face that’s gonna fuck us over in the Colorado game.

    1. I’ve always said play well enough that the refs can’t be the deciding factor.

Commodus stabbed Maximus in the liver, but Maximus still overcame and won the match, freeing his people and earning a well deserved trip “home” to be with his family.

      1. Stuff like that was always happening in ancient Rome —why, I can’t count the number of times the Emperor left his box and engaged in a death duel with a gladiator….

Doesn’t it give you warm & fuzzy feelings all over knowing that Nancy has decided to run for re-election next year?

  7. Most dominating win in the history of a series with a long history and this is your take? Beyond stupid.

Also, lots of old dudes on here. “Get off my lawn!”

See you all in November after we hang 50 on everyone.

    1. I am one of those old dudes and the subject of the article was a small factor in letting our tickets go this year after decades of going to the games. It’s not only a different vibe during the games, but on campus in the mornings. The university is free to do what they choose, but we didn’t care for it.

If the younger crowd does, so be it. The torch has got to be passed at some time. Now is as good a time as any. That’s OK; We love sitting at home and being able to watch a couple of other games when ours is a blowout, checking in during commercial breaks in those games, to see how high we’re running up the score.

      1. Can our stupid gang be beyond ‘Dumb and Dumber’ stupid?–
Dumber Harry to a beautiful lady–
“What’s the chances of a guy like me going out with a girl like you?”
        Lady– “One in a million”
Harry:– Oh, so you’re saying there’s a chance”

      2. Tony Montana didn’t let that kind of rejection stop him.

Elvira: Don’t call me baby! I’m not your baby.
Tony: Not yet, but you gotta give me some time.
Elvira: Even if I were blind, desperate, starved and begging for it on a desert island, you’d be the last thing I’d ever f***.

  9. This DJ Moskie is an annoying fuck and needs to have the cord cut asap. If you’re trying to talk to people during the tv timeouts, you can’t because this ass hat thinks it’s “Yo MTV Raps” with the music blaring.

  10. You think USC cares about your feelings? A chicken farmer in Delaware (of course) is running a shady operation and using his money to fund Florida St.’s (?!?!!) NIL program. Paying players during the season. Throwing large money at any and all recruits. You know, doing that Sam Gilbert bullcrap.

Please drop the holier than thou act, This Libtard. As LA Times writer and former SC WR Lonnie White admitted, SC has been paying the players for decades. We just have to get better organized and step up and get our billionaire alumni to pay to give us NIL parity with Florida State.

      1. I wouldn’t mind one bit if one of them wasn’t in there.

NC Central won’t do anything about that, but their next 3 opponents will.

  12. Scooter,

That dj has to go. If the kids want a party then go to the Shrine and party. This is a football game. If Chip Banks or Clay Matthews were here, they would just go over and break his crap and tell him no more. They got to get rid of that dude.

  13. The DJ and music are completely awful and rui the experience of the game. It’s not aligned to the time honored traditions of college football, let alone USC. It’s an absolute disgrace and ruins the game. Several fans in my section were puling their hands over their ears and yelling at the DJ to “SHUT UP!” We all need to complain to our alumni clubs and get a petition sent to the retards running USC athletics who invited this disgrace upon our team and traditions.
