TV can’t get enough of Colorado right now and Fox decided Monday morning to make the USC-Colorado game on Sept. 30 its Big Noon game.
That’s Big Noon ET. So it’s really 9 a.m. PT and 10 a.m. in Boulder, where the game will be played. This means three of Colorado’s first five games will kick off in this time slot.
Deion Sanders said Monday that cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter will miss three games, so he is out for the USC game. It’s been reported Hunter lacerated his liver against Colorado State.

The real scandal at USC is the plummeting rankings versus other colleges. USC is now ranked #28 in the US news rankings. USC keeps falling under Carol Folt’s inept leadership, or lack of leadership.
Prior to Folt, USC had been continually climbing. The University of Florida, UC Davis and UC San Diego are now tied with USC. UC Davis has a 48.8% acceptance rate for undergraduate admissions.
The same way that USC needed a good AD, it also needs a real President. BOT needs to wake up!

The Supreme Court recently ruled the colleges need to have color blind admissions standards. Harvard could not admit Blacks over Asians when Blacks had substantially lower SAT and grade transcripts than Asians because Harvard wanted more ethnic diversity on campus. That is reverse discrimination and violates the equal protection clause. So what did USC do? They will no longer require any student to submit an SAT score. Instead, they will have a vague admission standard based on things such as a personal statement and written recommendations. It is a clear attempt to get around the Court ruling. And the net affect of this is that USC will no longer admit the “best and the brightest.” Skin color and ethnicity is now more important than actual academic performance. Over time, USC will drop in the college rankings but they will be able to say something to the effect of “we may not have a top tier engineering department but we have a higher percentage of women engineers and engineers of color than Cal-Tech or MIT.” Why does the BOT put up with this nonsense. It will destroy the university.

This game is for the ratings for TV. It should be the highest rated game for that time slot. Hopefully it will garnish a Nielsen ratings 9.5 million views. That would top the earlier game between Colorado n TCU.
