USC Approved Early Game

The Big Noon game vs. Colorado kicks off at 9 a.m., which is far from ideal.

But USC’s approval was required for the early start, so Lincoln Riley had to OK it.

The inconvenience of the early start is offset by the massive exposure of Fox’s biggest game of the week, so that was a consideration for USC.

  1. This is how is going to be for SC going forward in the Big 18 next year. We will be in that slot for TV. Hopefully these players we have a new way to condition there bodies for these cross country flights.

  2. What’s the problem….an early start…how often have east coast cities actually seen USC play? If if occurs 3 times a year so be it.
We used to play all our home games back in the 50’s and late into the 60’s with 12 noon kickoffs.

Sooner we flatten CO the better. Looking ahead I wish USC had chosen to play Rutgers annually and fixate the NYC hatred towards LA but yeah they can’t help but ‘watch’!

  3. Play Colorado at night and you’re going to get bad weather increase, poor officiating and more anxiety for your own players which will make poor play occur more often. Play earlier and the refs do a better job plus exposure goes higher for USC. Colorado will not have best player and starting center available. Who knows what kind of damage Oregon does to the Buffaloes.

    Provided they beat the Ducks.
